I can't speak about the food, only the customer service. I spent a good deal of time researching a place to go for my birthday with my family, settled on this place, and made a reservation several days in advance for 6:00, which was confirmed. At 4:15 the day of the reservation I missed two calls from the restaurant while I was on another call. According to my voice mail they were asking me to confirm. I called back several times within a few minutes and no one answered and the voice mail box was full. Around 4:30 someone finally answered and I said I was calling to confirm. The person asked if I could come in at 5:00 (or at 7:00?). I said I had made a reservation at 6:00. I was told to hold on, and then was hung up on. I tried to call back a couple of times. No answer. Someone called me back from the restaurant, this time around 4:40 and asked if we could come in at 5:00. We live at minimum 20 minutes from the restaurant, if not more, and I was just about to walk our dog before our evening out. I said I had a reservation at 6:00. They said they needed the table at 7:00 and that they tried calling me and gave away our reservation. After not answering my return call within a few minutes they gave it away! I got the sense they didn't care, because they filled the table anyway. My wife had earlier in the week asked my what kind of cake she should make, and I said, hey, Margie's is right down the street from where we're having dinner, let's go there. Instead of a celebratory outing, I was left to scramble to find another place to eat. First world problems, I know, but thanks S & T for ruining my birthday celebration...
Read moreMy boyfriend made a reservation for S & T for Valentine’s Day. A new spot we had not been to! We were so pleasantly surprised. It is a BYOB restaurant and that was honestly pretty wonderful! They brought our fresh bread and then took our order. With every steak, you get the choice of a beef, chicken or veggie tostada. This was new to me and wow it did not disappoint. My boyfriend and I both tried the chicken. The flavors were delicious and the crunchiness of the fresh veggies really hit the spot. We each ordered a steak (a filet for me and a NY Strip for him) and both were cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly & presented beautifully. They give you 3 sauces for your meal and our incredible server (I believe her name was Jaritizia, please excuse my spelling) explained everything about them! The filet & baked potato were seriously mouth watering. I can’t do it justice by describing, you have to try it for yourself! This is the only picture I took because I couldn’t wait to dive in!
After dinner (which was served so promptly not to mention) we were surprised with a Valentine’s Day ice cream treat. It was honestly one of the most delicious meals & great experiences I’ve had at a restaurant!
Thanks for everything, we can’t wait...
Read moreAn amazing intimate BYOB steak house at a great price for the quality. This is a Latin spin on the typical steakhouse, leaning more towards a modern feel. The food was ordered and served promptly. We ordered our new York strip steak medium and that is how it was served; to perfection. The rub was delicious! Not overly salted or peppered. The outer crust was amazing and they didn't over cook the center one bit. The mild green sauce the steak came with should be bottled and sold. It was so good!
We dined on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was quiet and cozy. We were told it can get crowded on weekends, so if you are looking for intimate stop by on a weekday evening.
Yuli, our server, sat us immediately and explained the menu. The steak came with a house special tostada. We tried both the beef and chicken tostada. Both had a Asian fusion feel. The chicken tostada was the winner for the flavor profile.
Overall, this place is solid. My wife and I had eaten at Gibson's in River North a month ago and I enjoyed my steak here so much more. We can wait to go back and try out their other dishes. Don't miss out,...
