Before sharing my opinion over the food, I’d like to say the staff was super friendly and they followed Covid-19 guidelines religiously. This I truly appreciated and you could tell they put a lot of effort to keep their business safe and clean. However, one thing is service and the other is their product. Here, it looks Puerto Rican but it does not taste Puerto Rican. I ordered several pastries, plain bread, mallorcas, quesito con guayaba, and un pastelillo de carne molida. For starters, bread was more like French bread than any Puerto Rican bread (sobao o de agua). Then the masa in the pastelillo de carne was thick and bread-like. The cheese in the quesitos was not sweet (just tasted like plain dry cream cheese) and the pastry was thick and dense. The mallorca was alright but had an off flavor that was not like the mallorcas you get in Puerto Rico. Overall, this place felt like an interpretation of a Puerto Rican Panadería (Bakery) rather than something authentic.

Orederd a ham, EGG & cheese. Got home and there's no egg, they even asked me while he was making it so i thought they'd get it right but nope. Happens often, like the menu says ham, egg & cheese sandwich so how do you forget the egg? Had to make my own egg at home. Double check your sandwiches before leaving. On top of that i was the only one there!

Every visit to this San Juan bakery is a delightful experience that never disappoints. The moment you step in, you're greeted by the irresistible aroma of fresh baked goods, instantly making you feel at home. What truly sets this bakery apart is not just the exceptional quality of their offerings, but also the warmth and friendliness of the staff. They're always ready with a smile, eager to help and make recommendations, ensuring that each customer leaves happier than they arrived. The bakery prides itself on freshness, and it shows. Every item, from the flakiest pastries to the most decadent cakes, tastes like it was made with love and care. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, the bakery's consistent quality and cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit spot in San Juan.In a world where genuine customer service is becoming a rarity, this bakery reminds us of the joy of simple pleasures—delicious food made with passion and served with a smile. I feel mildly embarrassed that I have lived in this neighborhood for 6 years and have never patronized San Juan bakery until today. I will definitely be going back over and over and over. I met a friend there for coffee and pastries this morning, and it was delightful. my cappuccino was perfect, and the chocolate flan I had with it was incredible. and they have so much more than sweets and pastries! They also serve sandwiches and other savory treats. it's a small, quiet place with a few small tables up in the front, perfect for a low-key, intimate meet up. Definitely too small for larger groups, but you can still get the experience with carryout. I am pleased to be able to support a small, local, Puerto Rican own business in Humboldt Park. try them! You won't be...
