Chicken, service and dining room so nice I was surprised there wasn't a line wrapped around the block. They have a unique flow of service. You take a menu, seat yourself then return to the counter when you're ready to place your order and pay. Everything you might need throughout your visit is available to you in the dining room so you won't need to ask staff for anything other than to go boxes should you be able to pry yourself away from their yummy chicken, potatoes and grits. I absolutely love the fact that you can wash your hands here without going to the restroom and hope this trend picks up. If you're uncomfortable with using reusable cutlery, plastic wear is available upon request. They really know what they're doing with sauces so I'm glad I ordered a flight so I could sample them all. My favorites were umamicue sweet chili BBQ herby reach, honey mustard, and honey buffalo. I typically only like homemade mashed potatoes so I was shocked by how delicious the super smash was. Potatoes were perfectly mashed, it was oozing with white cheddar, bacon crema, scallions and topped with fried chicken. We washed it all down with the most refreshing ginger ale I've ever had and 50/50. If you're a fan of Arnold Palmers you'll love their version called 50/50. They have indoor seating and a patio with good heating lamps so you can enjoy it year round. For once I have absolutely no critiques, it was that good. Service was quick, pleasant, the dining room is cozy, full of natural light, plants and...

I have heard a lot about this place so I was excited to try it out. I had a 2 piece chicken with biscuits and a sweet tea.
My first impression was that they rely on their honey butter for everything. They basically tell you to put it on everything and I really think it's because of the lack of flavor. The butter should complement the food and should not be the only thing I taste.
I wished the chicken could stand alone but there was nothing to note about it. I got a leg and a breast. The leg was huge! I almost thought it was a turkey leg. The breast was boneless and the smaller cut of chicken I have ever seen. Bone in chicken is always the right choice!
Thew biscuits have a nice honeycomb shape and make a good presentation but they taste like nothing. I'm actually impressed with how flavorless it was. I really didn't know a biscuit could be that bland.
The sweet was really good. It was the perfect balance. I don't know if that is made in house or what but it was the best part of my meal.
My friend got the honey vanilla shake and there was really no honey flavor. It was just a very runny vanilla "shake." I'm a strong believer that if that shake is not thick, then it's just really cold flavored milk.
I really want to give this place another chance because the staff is excellent and I've heard so many great things about the food. Maybe their sandwiches are the way to go?
I'll be sure to update after...
Read moreHoney Butter Fried Chicken fumbled my takeout order.
On my way out the door, I noticed the bag felt too light and realized that it was missing a tea from the order, which took over 5 minutes to fix. The hostess was nice and apologetic, but the bulk of the time was waiting for lemon she additionally offered.
When I'd finally returned, I discovered that the order (2x strips meals) was missing all of the dipping sauces too! I was unfortunately about a ten minute walk away and unable to take another half hour to salvage the meal. The plain chicken was merely OK and lacked the main reason (the honey butter!) I had chosen to try this restaurant.
I could have saved myself the greater part of my dissatisfaction if I'd second guessed them after catching the missing drink and checked inside the chicken boxes (where I assumed the sauces I didn't see were), but this is something you shouldn't have to do. As served and at ~$20 each, these meals felt like mediocre values. Five seconds of skipped attention dropped this experience from potentially a B+ or better down to a C-.
Update: following my complaining, the manager reached out and tried to make things right with a gift card for a future visit, which I appreciated, but my odds of going back are limited by the fact I don't live in the area. Bumping service from 1 star to 3, and overall from 2 to 3 for...
