I absolutely love this little shop!! Family-run and by the nicest family!! Father and Son duo usually there to help you find what you need and are so friendly and helpful! They make fresh carne asada, and other Mexican meats on the weekend and they are AMAZING!! Most things are very reasonably priced, for being a convenience store. The access to fresh produce is actually quite amazing and it’s they have the best mangoes and Mexican avocados in the city! A true Chicago gem!! Just stop in and see the shop and meet the family- and you bet you’ll find some amazing Mexican (and American) goodies...

Came in to just check and see if their produce included tomatillos, since none of my normal spots carried them. They asked nicely if we were finding everything ok when we left without purchasing anything and we mentioned that we were new to the area. This small grocer doesn't have every item you may need, but the family that runs it have been butchers for many generations. They have quality well cut and priced meat, plus meats that have been marinaded using their secret family recipe. The butchers are very helpful and can teach you how best to prepare your meat.
