Eggroll Station — Restaurant in West Columbia

THEY CLOSE AT 5:22PM!! These people do not want your business I guess. I’ve eaten at this place all throughout college so I think I would be a good judge on their food and service.

First, this restaurant does not care for your patronage. It’s clear, they kept the same extreme restrictions from COVID where only 5 customers are allowed in the store for no damn reason, and they promptly close at 5:22pm on a Friday. I was greeted, I just wanted anything that they might’ve had, I was told they close at 5:30, from which I drove straight from work rushing there to have even a chance at getting some good, cheap Chinese food. Unfortunately, I was kicked out, and they just didn’t want to take my money.

How about the fact that they don’t open on wednesday dinner either? Or Saturday? Or the fact that they are obviously committing tax fraud by intentionally only accepting cash. This is absurd, I get it that the establishment is doing what they want, but please go elsewhere who will respect you and your desires.

Now onto the topic of food, I have ordered several things off this menu, and I am afraid of ordering anything but the sesame chicken, pork wontons, and eggrolls. They overly salted the previous attempts or some order of inconsistency with the food order. ANY other mom & pop chinese food takeout has enough consistency to at least not make something inedible by sodium content.

The sesame chicken, for all it’s worth was a good portion, but I just remember too much breading, not enough meat.

Best Chinese in Columbia hands down! I grew up coming here always getting shrimp fried rice and eggrolls but now I love the wings too! I've traveled the country and have yet to find wings and eggrolls as good as these! I make sure to make the eggroll station a stop anytime im in town and have told folks in many states across the country I'd they come to Columbia they have to stop here as it never dissapoints.. even on a bad day it's better than any other Chinese around

If you're new order the super combo to get a taste of everything but more importantly BRING CASH! I understand it's a new world now and they should have a CC machine but trust me you will not be dissapointed and a little cash goes a long ways here.

The name is very fitting. If you order an eggroll from here it will be the best eggroll you've ever had. The other food is amazing too. The woman behind the counter is very friendly and on the ball. Your order will be out very fast and you can watch your food being cooked by the man crushing it on the wok. Mad wok skills. This is hands down the best Chinese restaurant in the Midlands. Their relative owns Eggroll Chen off Garner's ferry. Same food. AWESOME!!

PARKING ISSUE EXPLAINED: The owner of Al's upstairs owns their building and is therefore their landlord. It is my understanding that he has "encouraged" the eggroll station's owners to not allow dine in customers after 4:00 pm.
