The Hideout Cafe — Restaurant in West Columbia

The look of the place is nice they have nice seating area inside and out, also additional seating inside on the second floor. The service was sub par, there wasn't clear instructions on what to do, no one greeted us when we came in they. Basically you have to ask ppl if they ordered to find out if it's your turn to order it who your after, there's no organization or signs to direct you as to what to do and like i said we weren't greeted. The was two couples when we walked in one ordered one hadn't, after waiting finding that out then asking one of the four workers that were behind the front. Ordering was easy the menu was easy to read and they have a lot of nice selections for the route of eatery it is. I ordered the b/e/c on croissant my friend had the avocado toast, she liked it. Unfortunately my sandwich was cold in the middle i don't know if it was just the bun frozen it the whole thing and instead of strips of bacon, it was literally bacon bits. There was also something green on the bottom, like whoever made the avocado toast still had some on their hands and handled my food without even at least doing off their hands, i didn't...

Food made with love (and the micrograins to prove it)! 💞 😍💞 This, is a fun experience. But the food...omg! My lips, are still dancing! 🥰

Don't let the prices fool you, this is top quality eats. And the lattes.. 🤤

The Vibe: This is an up and coming. They are putting in some cool decor and local artists. Come often to watch the changes.

Avocado Toast (Margarita): All fresh ingredients on a sour dough toast bed With tiny tomatoes and little micrograins that look like little hearts 💕 10 outta 10

Avocado Toast (Mediterranean): Avocado, cucumber, feta cheese and more of those cute micrograins. 🤤 10 outta 10

Latte (Hot): Strawberry Nuttella Latte. I swear, this and Fire came from the God's! 10 outta 10 (this can be cold too)

Chai Latte (non expresso): She said it tasted great. I missed the opp to taste it for you myself. 😔 Sorry. 10 outta 10.

The Staff: Friendly, accommodating, smart, all with a great service.

Restroom: Immaculate and stylish.

So... The Hideout is cool. Yummy and healthy food and drinks, really cool art, all the makings of a neat cafe. There is outdoor seating and some upstairs. This is a cool hangout and as a twenty-something, I can appreciate a lot about what this place has to offer. The thing is though, my family and I went to The Hideout for a birthday breakfast for my aunt and the service was strange. Everything was correct and quick but, kind of rigid. Bottom line is, when someone says "I've never been here before," it's cool to make some recommendations. That's why people still want local cafes and not Starbucks.
