Yes, I did view this exhibit set up in the SC State Museum just before the entrance to this additional museum. I did not have time to enter this additional museum on this day. However I did get to visit it for free one day last year. OMG it was so good: Incredibly and immacurately researched and displayed items of immense historical importance regarding the most controversial state in the union. That was not even a complete sentence(!) Holy Cow, from my personal experience it was 'mind blowing.' I spent most all of my adult life performing for the very same societal types of the very same aristocracy documented and displayed here! Fashion was King! The "times" were no different then than now. I write this in 2023. Can we sum it up simply with the line "pomp and circumstance?" Read moreThis was a fun museum and my fiance and I really enjoyed checking out all the exhibits. The museum itself is comprised of 4 separate stories, each story containing 3-5 different exhibits. There are also there different shows you can attend if you get the "Master Explorer Ticket" which cost approximately $12 per adult including a 4D show, a planetarium show, and an exhibit show. It was a fun day and we really enjoyed our experience. It’s separate from the SC State Museum, so be sure to check hours and prices before you go (state museum and Confederate museum are two separate entry fees). There are two main displays at this point - the Vietnam war display and the “other wars” (primarily civil but a couple sections on revolutionary, ww2, desert storm).
