Rush's — Restaurant in West Columbia

I was apprehensive coming here but it's so close to my hotel thought I'd atleast try it out. They did not disappoint. Quick drive thru process however at the window they were more interested in their own conversations to bother realizing I didn't get my shake yet. Any who, I ordered a regular 3 piece chicken basket. I got 2 thighs and a leg. The chicken has a good skin crunch and consistency, the meat was consistently tender and juicy with very little fat. Very good bite. Only knock is the seasoning or lack there of. Really need an all purpose salt pepper mix. Find that and your set. The roll was not good, should be a honey butter biscuit. Loved the microgrind on the coleslaw, good eat. The fries? I really like the fries, sorry, 1st time customer from Texas. The fries have great flavor but need more seasoning, pattern forming, they're crunchy yet soft on the inside regardless of the bite, even on the off cuts that usually burn and are too tough to eat, not here. Every single fry has the same crunch and tenderness. And the chocolate shake is pretty damn good, don't change it, except maybe offer a bigger portion, maybe 20 ounces or so. I'll be back. 5-5-25, drive thru service was poor, chicken was tough and poorly cooked, waste of time...

On Saturday 6/22/19, we went to the sunset blvd location as we had done times before bc going to harbison is a madhouse at times. So we ordered our food, drove to the harbison to make a quick stop and eat. As I’m passing out the food one by one my kids begin to say there’s hair on their burgers! I took a picture of it and headed back. Yuck! It wasn’t a strand of hair it was like HAIR HAIR on each burger. On the bottom of the bun for one, inside the burger on/near the cheese for the other and my daughters hamburger had hair on the bottom bun as well. I was immediately sick! We went back after I called and spoke with the manager who said we make our employees wear hats. Now I’ve worked in fast food for years and yes, hair nets help but they don’t completely protect. I watched the employees when we returned and I’m looking at hair hanging from under caps, and clearly no hair net. Also, the location of the hair on the food, seemed like it was purposely put there. So then I start to think on another level! And I got angry. Needless to say that was over $20 worth of food trashed and a family that will make it their business to avoid this business location from that...

I came there in kind of time limit. So I ordered 2 burger baskets, hot dog basket and a milk shake comes up to nearly 30 bucks. So we get around to pay and their POS system is so outdated it wouldn't allow my card to overdraft which I never had that issue at a restaurant. So my boyfriend swipes his card POS wouldn't accept it. So we go to the BBT next door to withdraw the money. The atm charges us 3.00 plus his debit card fee for out of network. So I go in and speak to a manager about the Inconvenience that it's caused she basically says "our system isn't the newest and it's nothing they or she can do" I basically wanted a apology or 5 dollars off to offset the atm fee. I get neither so I will not be taking my business to them anymore after this. Every other restaurant accepts our cards etc but this one didn't which is funny I understand it's a small chain but its no excuse. They need to work on customer service as well because purchasing a meal today was very inconvenient i couldve went somewhere esle today honestly and I will from now on....
