Baja Cali Fish & Tacos (West Covina) — Restaurant in West Covina

Having picked up some to-go orders before, the experience could be iffy, predicating the mood of the staff or the weather, especially rain storms in recent days. Swinging by again in late afternoon over the weekend, this lady who is on the fuller side and petite in height, as though had just woken up from a siesta, mustering effort to lift her eyelids, hardly any eye contacts, trying to tend to my orders of multiple bags. One of which was two drinks in a four unit cup holder, imagined it could be wobbling and end up spilling when one walked while handful. I appealed to her, putting the cup holders with the drinks altogether in a plastic bag, to secure neatly and tightly, she followed robotically, yet sluggishly. And I added it might even be more sensical to cover the openings on the lids, hence minimizing leaking, she then put two labels on the sides of the cups, instead of covering the straw passages. Obviously someone was still in a zombie mode, I realized it would be futile to engage further in any more meaningful exchange, I grabbed the bags, turned around and got the heck out of the...

I happened to drive by in passing on a Tuesday afternoon and was attracted in by a sign near the sidewalk for $1 Tacos. Walked in and found out they have $1 Fish Tacos on Tuesdays, Kids eats free on Wednesdays and $1 Meat Tacos on Thursdays. It’s not even lunch or dinner hours and a line was already forming out the door. Bought 5 Fish Tacos to try out and boy they did not disappoint.

Big portion, bursting with flavor, and all for the awesome price of just $1. Not all dollar tacos are created equal. If they were located any closer to home, it’s be my regular Tuesday and Thursday dinner run! Nevertheless, I’m putting this restaurant on my radar.

Cashier said their special promo offer started last December (2017). Hope they keep this going so I can swing by sometimes.

Friendly cashier and speedy service despite long lines. An unofficial line forms toward the left for to-go pickup. Everyone in the kitchen was working super fast and efficient. The small restaurant was packed and people looked like they were enjoying the other items...

Tuesday 8/20/24 Dinner to go at Baja Cali Fish & Tacos (West Covina). I was craving for their fish tacos. It was so goooood, it hits many spots in my tummy. Good foods, great prices on “Taco Tuesday”.

There was lots of customers on Tuesdays. You can make phone order so you don’t need to wait long for the pick up.

There are many cooking and food preparers who works fast to serve customers.

Tuesday 10/10/23 Dinner (Taco Tuesday) at Baja Cali Fish & Taco in West Covina with my cousin. This restaurant has really good fish tacos. It satisfied my fish taco cravings; 5 to be precise.

It get really packed on Tuesdays because of their taco Tuesday special. Their service and kitchen staff’s work really fast to cut down wait time.

Restaurant is cleaned with a modern decor.

I recommend this restaurant. It’s one of my chow spots.
