Chowking — Restaurant in West Covina

I do like Chowking, even if my cousin told me it's not Grade A. I would always order siomai, tofu and wanton soup. Today I went there to get some food after coming from Toto Cebu Buchon. I ordered:

1.Beef Wanton Tofu 2 extra rice

The order took so long. The lady in white was waiting for her food and she left upset, saying something about not having chilly sauce for her siomai.

Me I waited and it was okay.

I kept hearing the small lady and the Lola saying "fried tofu na lng Ang kulang", even the male supervisor na pinagpapawisan was also saying "Ang fried tofu na Lang".

I was kinda infront of the counter.

After all the wait, I saw one lady passed by and she quickly handed the small box to the other lady who put it in the plastic bag when was handed to me.

When I got in the car, I only ate the beef wanton, it doesn't take good as the wanton noodles, honestly. But had no choice. I didn't touch the tofu.

When I arrived home which is a 80mile drive, I tried to drink the beef soup from the other container and opened the small box, to my surprise it wasn't tofu but a buchi.

I leave so far from West Covina and not getting what I really longed to eat can be really upsetting knowing all the wait

I could remember the ladies crew on the side near the restroom saying, Dumaan man lng, Hindi man lng kami nakatikim. I think they were not focused with the tasks this morning.

However I still like Chowking, but a job is a job no matter what locked down or Covid is going on, we have to remain professional and make people's money worth the service we offer.

As of 6:43pm, naka 3 lbm na ako. I took Gatorade, Immodium, ate plain rice, banana and apple BRAT diet to harden my stool. Nanghina ako sa 3 lbm ko. Hatyyy. I spoke to one of the staff there, she is going to get my address saying na they will report sa insurance so the insurance will take care of me. I told the lady to let her manager call me, mamaya niyan problema pa abutin ko sa ganyan.

Haayyyy, what an experience. 🥺😓

Spoke to Manager Ms Rhoda and she was nice. I will give her 5 stars....

July 12, 2025 about 630 p.m. we ordered for dine in beef wanton noodle, Mami, and pancit canton. The beef stew was sooo salty, only had 3 tiny beef cubes and JUST ONE tiny wanton ! Price is $ 9.99 for this mediocre dish. The Mami dish so very salty, too while the canton is soo dry very similar to those dishes offered called half galf rice-noodle lunch in chinese fastfoods combo. We had to go back to the front counter and asked for spoons so we can scoop the soup..forks they only provided won't do the job. No way we're coming back to this store where they're so stingy on the food volume they serve. Other people said the same thing but we still tried and NOW we believe they're so STINGY, KURIPOT how much food volume they provide besides...

Me and my family wasn’t happy with the service cashier name Stephen was Rude he doesnt know how to speak to the customer right First he yelled at my mom when my mom opened the fridge without seeing the ‘do not open sign’ he stopped my mom And said youre not suppose to open that only us can do it then He didnt even help my mom with her order and he just put back what my mom was getting we let it pass then i ordered when i was asking about chili oil i asked if they have any and he said yes then when i said where is it he said you didnt ask to have one so you dont have it .. we weren’t happy with how he talked to us he even speak tagalog and wasnt nice i hope someone can teach him how to better himself with communicating and giving service to...
