Filipino cafeteria-style joint serving classic Filipino comfort food. My mom has been taking us to this place for years. We ordered takeout from here for nostalgiaās sake (and because I was craving some BBQ pork sticks). Parking is easy since itās in the Seafood City lot. Other logistical details: theyāre operating during covid, they accept credit card, and currently thereās no dine-in although under normal circumstances, they have a few small booths where you can sit.
Unfortunately the quality of the food wasnāt what I remembered. The BBQ pork sticks were still tasty but there was a lot less meat and more fat/muscle. The sisig was marinated well and accompanied by chunks of bell pepper but was chewy more so than crispy. The lechon kawali was also chewy and the one from Island Pacific tastes better. Issue was that it was stale and chewy. Didnāt look it? But it was. Even after a blast in air fryer. They had a lot there, so it would taste even worse the next day.
