Fruiggie Too! — Restaurant in West Deptford Township

This was my 4th or 5th time coming here, and today will be my last. I ordered a PB&J shake, and at first, I thought there were cocoa nibs in it, so I asked if it could be remade. They said sure, no problem. When I came back to pick up the new one, I was greeted by a lady who introduced herself as the owner.

I smiled and said hi, and explained about the shake. At first, she smiled back, but once she realized I was young, it felt like all respect went out the window. She immediately raised her voice and, in a very defensive tone, said, “There are no cocoa nibs in your shake. I am the owner, and I made your shake.” I was honestly shocked she was even speaking to me like that. When I tried to explain, she cut me off. She pulled up my receipt, explained that the extra texture I was tasting was because I added extra protein, and said she could “show me the breakdown.” She was making the situation way bigger than it needed to be.

Then, she said, “I’ll make another one for you BUT” and really emphasized the “but” before telling me, “Just make sure next time you don’t hit double protein.” The way she spoke to me came off more like how you would scold a child, not how you talk to a customer. She repeated, very sternly, twice, that she was the owner, almost like she wanted to make sure I knew.

I came up to her calm and polite, but the way she responded was defensive, rude, and unnecessary. Nobody deserves to be talked down to like that. The food and shakes here are good, but because of how I was treated, I won’t be...

Wow this place is amazing! They have the best Acai bowls I’ve ever had here. I have a lot of allergies and they are able to make the substitutions I need, I just let them know when I’m checking out! I have been feeling more energized after I eat here, they use high quality ingredients and I prefer my bowl first thing in the morning! I come here everyday now and they have amazing fresh pressed juices that are premade in the refrigerator that are absolutely delicious. This place is a god send and I Recommend everyone I can to come here you WONT regret it...

The PB&J bowl was absolutely amazing! Thank you for letting me customize it—extra peanut butter on the top and bottom was a game changer. I really appreciate being able to omit the banana slices too. I know it sounds crazy, but while I love banana when it’s blended, I just can’t eat a whole one! The peanut butter was so good I could eat it by the spoonful.
