Today we tried Whit or Whitout in West Deptford! We had the regular cheesesteak with Cheese Whiz. I had the onions on the side. We also got fries, American cheese sauce, and a side of the garlic parm sauce. This place gives you a good value! The cheesesteak was more than enough for the two of us, and the bag of fries was enormous. We thought we were going to need to get separate sandwiches because the price was so low, but it’s just a good deal there, which in this economy is a true blessing. The cheesesteak was a glorious, soupy mess and ya know, if you don’t like messy food, you’re not my kinda foodie. I loved the fried onions. Some places have onions that taste almost medicinal but these were cut big enough to taste them and they had a good mouthfeel. The fries were soft and pillowy but not greasy and were great vessels for the salty American cheese sauce and garlic parm sauce, which was a STAR of a sauce. It was tangy, had a good garlic taste that wasn’t sweet but also doesn’t kill your breath for the rest of the day, and a great blend of salt and pepper. If they put a cheese whiz/garlic parm sauce on wings, I would die of happiness. The place is hidden in a shopping center but has a cute little grassy outdoors section with picnic tables. And the inside decor is super Philly, down to the bottles of “wooder.” Super cute, great value, and a delicious lunch! Sandi, the front counter employee, was so helpful and patient too! Support...

Tried this place recently and thought it was just ok. I ordered a cheesesteak with cooper sharp, my husband got the same, and we split fries. I wish they asked if we wanted friend onions, hence the "whit or whitout" but they didnt and i forgot to ask for them which was disappointing because I feel like the sandwich needed them. The cheesesteak was pretty full of meat and cheese so it was worth the money. The cooper sharp tasted like American though so not sure if they used the wrong cheese or just dont have good cooper. Also I thought it was weird they didn't cut the sandwiches in half. Very hard to eat it in one big piece. The fries were pretty bland unfortunately so we only ate a few. A friend recommended this place so that's why we drove all the way there but I would not return. Also the place was hard to find, especially at night. The service was pretty fast and staff were really...

Comfort food!!! 11/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!!! Best CHEESESTEAK I’ve ever had! The meat in the cheesesteak was seasoned perfectly, didn’t have any chewy pieces in it that I usually get when I get a cheesesteak from other places, it was loaded with two different types of melted cheeses, the bread was soft, and it just tasted so fresh! I usually put ketchup and mayo on my cheesesteak, and I didn’t have to with this one. RUN!!! The atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing and the employees are soooo nice and informative. I can’t wait to try everything on their menu because all of their food looks amazing! I’ll start my diet after I try every single thing on their menu, but wait?! They even have healthier options!!! I found my takeout spot and as long as they’re open I will be...

I can't believe I've never reviewed this place... I am a frequent visitor to this place and let me tell you... The philthy cheesesteak is my go to. It's a perfect blend of spicy and saucy and the portions are always so huge that sometimes I think I can't finish it, but I must! They released some new menu items and my wife was the first to order and try the "Broad Street". She absolutely LOVED it. The crunch of the toasted garlic bread and the combination of ingredients gave it such a great flavor. The fried onions were actually a nice touch and even I tried them, and I am usually not a fan, lol, and I loved it, too! The staff are super nice, friendly, and fun to talk to. They are all good people there and deserve the business. Give them a try! You won't be disappointed!

I've eaten many cheesesteaks in my life and I'm thankful this place opened up. Ever since moving to South Jersey, it's been tough getting a proper Philly cheesesteak without going and dealing with Philly itself, but now comes Whit or Whitout! We were chatting with them as we were ordering about our cheesesteak preferences and we both agree it's tough to beat local bodegas but Whit or Whitout manages to do that and then some. It's honestly one of the best cheesesteaks I've had ever. The bread is a mix of chewy, soft but can be toasted up. The steak just the right amount of chopped. The mix of whiz and melted american on their OG XL was satisfying. I'm glad this place exists but fear longer wait times for food now.

I was referred here by a good friend of who said he had heard the cheesesteaks were phenomenal. He didn’t lie to me. Upon entering, Dakota greeted me and explained a couple of things they had on the menu - I wanted to make sure I was ordering properly. My orders are usually minimal so I got a "whiz whitout". Whiz cheesesteak, whitout onions. Order was done in 5-8 minutes. I brought it home and ate it - definitely the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had. I’m confident in saying so. As I write this, I’m already thinking about my next one. Great job team, keep up the quality work! I’ll be back soon.
