My daughter has been wanting rolled ice cream since a local favorite in weha closed. She googled herself and found this place so we went today. First impression was oh the menu is pretty & good options so okay..... then I order my first option and the young lady who was alone in the store says she doesn't have the "base" for what I want and that her manager would be back with it soon 🤔 which base is that HEAVY CREAM? But ok I order a second option "smores" for myself and one for my daughter. She charges me a little over $18 and I tip her a couple bucks assuming she's going to put in some work as the normal "rolled ice cream" employee does... She proceeds to pull them out of a freezer and ask my daughter if she wants toppings. So I realize she sold us ice cream that was PRE-ROLLED! I asked her was this how they do things because the point was to see the ice cream rolled and made in front of you. Again she references not having "the base" and waiting on her manager so she had some already made. At this point I was beyond frustrated because it literally defeats the purpose of going to a THAI ROLLED ICE CREAM spot. So I get in my car to eat the pre-rolled ice cream and there's no flavor but vanilla ice cream and hershey chocolate syrup. No pieces of graham cracker, nothing at all that resembled or tasted like marshmallow. Not to mention the rolls had obviously been pre-made and frozen days ago as they were icy, not creamy and tasted like freezer. I was so upset at this point I literally walked back in to verify that I recieved what I paid for. Sure enough, although I was the one eating it, she promised there were "smashed up graham crackers and marshmallows" in there and asked if I wanted a big marshmallow to go with it. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. THE PROBLEM WASNT THE YOUNG LADY. ITS THE MANAGEMENT. You cannot advertise a product to a consumer and then cheat your way at every corner. She was alone and most likely instructed to sell pre-made rolls. I could have eaten freezer burned vanilla ice cream with hershey syrup at home and saved my $20. It's deceptive....
Read moreI don’t like the fact that they tried to serve me & my husband pre-made ice cream, then proceeded to try and use spoiled milk after the employee smelled it multiple times telling the owner it doesn’t smell good! Owner ensured her it was good because she “just made it” and not to do what she did in front of a customer! Honestly I respect she did it in front of me instead of giving me something spoiled. SMH , I will never return! Do it at your own RISK!
UPDATE: HEYYY owner, I felt the need to come up here on my PHONE because I choose to!! It’s an establishment serving people & we are allowed to leave a review if we want! What are you going to do? Argue with each person? Good luck ma’am! Again, like I said it happened how it did sorry not sorry! You stated you had an issue at the stores! The refrigerator was not staying cold!! SO THE ITEMS could have been BAD! However, I did go back into your store and thank god you had a pleasant worker, I believe Chasity, short curly Afro! She was amazing!! Thanks girl but after her comeback that I am just now seeing I will not be back in there! CHASITY open your own spot you are amazing!!!! As for the owner girl stop going back and forth with customers lol...
Read moreI ordered a matcha rolled ice cream, which is green in the picture they have as a sample (which makes sense because it’s green tea). I’ve had lots of matcha ice cream in the past which have always been green, but today I received my first ever light brown matcha ice cream, which was premade (usually you see rolled ice cream being made in front of you) and the name of another person written on the cup. I was a little suspicious but I tried it and it tasted like strawberry ice cream… I had my friends try it as well and none of them said it tasted like green tea. I went to the employee and raised that it was the wrong order but she gaslit me into believing it was the right one by telling me that the matcha ice cream contains strawberry in it as shown in the menu. While strawberry is part of the ensemble in the matcha ice cream, it’s a topping on the matcha rolled ice cream, not crushed and mixed into the actual ice cream. Even after overlooking the terrible customer service experience, the ice cream itself wasn’t fresh and tasted bland, basically like flavored ice. Toppings were also not fresh.
