Johnny's Grill — Restaurant in West Haven

Usually I have suberb service without an issue, however, as I walked in the door tonight the bartender yells that he is refusing to serve me and to get out. I say "Excuse me?!" He says, " I know you, your Jessica and I aint serving you. I had to call the cops on you last monday for starting a bar fight." I reply " sir you have the wrong person my name is Nicole" i pull out my id he refuses to look at and kicks me out while other bar patrons agree with him and heckled at me. I was mortified and embarassed. I walk by this bar daily because my house is around the corner and havent been to Johnnys since Halloween of 2016. Great bar with great people!! It gives you Cheers vibes everyone is so friendly and inviting!! And the food is delicious!!! I haven't had anything that I did not enjoy yet!! You want great wings, huge chicken tenders, a lobster roll, soup, steak and cheese and or a quesadilla... they have it all!! Yes this bar has soup, amazing homemade soups!! But the nachos...top notch noone has chips like these!! Homemade, light, crunchy and fried to perfection!! You want your nachos layered right this is where you go!!!! Go see for yourself! Had a few minutes to kill on a late Sunday afternoon, so I decided to stop in. Have passed this place thousands of times from being a 40+ year WH resident & can't believe I've never been in here. Great staff, great service, cold beer, & a relaxing environment pleasantly surprised me. Will be stopping in again...
