West Haven Pizza and Deli — Restaurant in West Haven

So far I’ve only had the bagels and cream cheese, but I will be back for more things! Superb bagels, with a light crispy crust and fluffy yet chewy interior, loaded with full flavor. Truly the perfect balance on all fronts. I forgot to ask if they boil them before baking, but they sure look, feel, and taste like it. I haven’t had a better bagel since the last time I was in NYC. The cream cheese is smooth, wonderfully fully flavored without being overpowering, and matches the bagels flawlessly. On my visit, somebody else was picking up a pizza, which smelled heavenly. The pizza is excellent and on par with any other New Haven area pizza, which says a lot considering the quality of New Haven pizza in general. Their dinners are delicious with generous portions. I’ve had their breakfasts and sandwiches too and everything always leaves me very full and satisfied. The only thing I would suggest is that they start carrying fresh horseradish sauce or do a in house creamy horseradish sauce for the sandwiches because all NY style delis should have this on their menu it really elevates the sandwiches, especially...

I am a North Branford native and I am 57 yrs old. My family of six has been eating New Haven pizza since we moved here in 1968. The food at W. H. Pizza is Five Star * all the way every day. The pizza, the calzones the grinders, salads and deserts are incredible. Fresh and made with Love. The owners and workers are wonderful people who provide the best food and services and a more than fair prices. GREAT FOOD at A GREAT VALUE.

Literally the best PIzZA in the New Haven area hands down.
