Delighted by an exceptional dining experience at Craft Bistro! Hailing from the Charlotte, NC area accustomed to fine dining, we ventured here based on recommendations and glowing reviews—our expectations were exceeded. From the outset, the hostess was remarkably kind, our server Richard provided outstanding service, and even the charismatic Drew with his distinctive pink hair left a lasting impression (recommend asking for Drew or Richard's table). The owners shared a captivating and humbling story, making the experience feel nothing short of royal treatment. Savoring the lamb pops and smoked ahi tuna set the stage for an exquisite culinary journey. The scallop and mahi-mahi entrees were equally delightful, solidifying the belief that any choice on the menu is a winner. Heartfelt gratitude to the Craft Bistro team for an unforgettable evening. My husband and I were thoroughly impressed and eagerly anticipate our return during our next visit to West Jefferson!

Oh my god if there was a higher rating than five stars, I would so give this lovely little gem whatever that would be. The food was outstanding, and I mean every single thing we had. The service was top-notch, quite frankly the best I’ve had in years. If you are looking for some outstanding dining fair that is completely reasonably priced, this is your spot! We had the PEI mussels and steak tartare for apps, and they were amazing!! Followed with the Chilean sea bass( sublime) the duck ( the glaze was magnificent!) and the special- the fillet with truffle sauce ( cooked to perfection- melted in my mouth). Dessert was the bread pudding ( to die for!), the key lime pie ( seriously…) and the creme brulee ( i am out of adjectives. ) this is a must try if you are within a 70 mile drive, seriously!

Excellent!! If you're looking for great upscale food without the stuffy atmosphere, this is your place. Come as you are or dress up. Got specials tonight. One was lobster on toast which upon first looking at it. I thought it was going to be dumb but changed my mind quickly after the first bite. This was one of those dishes that I had to close my eyes and chew slowly because it was soooo good. Shared ribeye with lobster and mashed potatoes for entree. It was excellent as well. Had some kind of chocolate cake roll for dessert. It was ok, nothing extraordinary. Staff was excellent and we had a fantastic time. Can't wait to return.

My girlfriend and I luckily came across this restaurant while staying in the Glendale Springs Inn while we were in town for a wedding in Whitetop Mountain, VA. We were really happily surprised with our experience. Patrick was our server, and he was as enthusiastic as we are about food and was beyond accommodating and helpful. He allowed me to try two types of Pinot Noir (I'm not even sure they were sold by the glass on the menu). We shared the lamb chops as an appetizer and they were delicious with interesting flavors of tarragon, soy sauce, and a subtle touch of ginger. For our main courses my gf had the night's special, a prime filet marinated in black truffle oil which was topped with local blue cheese and crawfish. I had the duck breast from the menu and both entrees were prepared perfectly and we were admittedly very surprised to have such an interesting and impressive culinary experience as we felt like we were far off the beaten path-- but apparently not! For dessert, we shared the bread pudding per Patrick's recommendation and he told us if we could guess the three spices in the dessert, that it would be on the house. We guessed two of them and he gave us a hint for the third (which was a surprise) and he still comped our dessert and we were so appreciative. My girlfriend and I are major food enthusiasts and in the past year we have been all over the US and Europe on food adventures and this, without a doubt, was one of our favorite experiences. I really hope we end up in West Jefferson in the future and that we...

I have wanted to try this restaurant ever since they opened and my parents sent me pictures of their food. When my husband and I finally got to go try it out and we were not disappointed!

It was a delicious Sunday brunch. I had chicken and waffles. It wasn’t just your average fried chicken and waffles either because it had its own special (delicious) flavor. Plus fruit and small sliced potatoes for the side was an extra bonus. My husband got fish tacos that were also delicious. They had a live musician that was very pleasant too. The owners are very hardworking, caring people as they came and checked on us during our meal.

They clearly care about the quality of the food and their hospitality. It’s not considered a “cheap” meal but the quality of food and atmosphere make it well worth a visit!! It’s a unique place where the focus is on the food, go here for the experience and don’t expect your typical burger/sandwich/pub food that you find in many places around town.

They take reservations. Also, they have stopped serving lunch but they’ve kept Sunday Brunch. However, they will continue to be open...

My friends and I were excited about coming here after reading the reviews. I made reservations and mentioned if was my birthday. We also ran into a cook who worded there earlier that day and also mentioned my birthday, and even the hostess called me the birthday girl. Sadly , that was the last mention of my celebration! We were seated in a back corner by the kitchen (never a good spot for me, but it was fun to wave at the cook we met earlier) Waiter was personable and said everything on the menu was Amazing. The lobster toast was supposed to be “the restaurant encapsulated “ and honestly it kinda was. We ordered that and the special of the night, lamb meatballs. They were fantastic and sorry to say that is the only thing we had that was. The lobster toast was burned, the salmon was tasty but very dry, the mashed potatoes and rice were decent, but the Chilean sea bass and steak were super salty. Non of our Entrees were close to being worth the money. We ordered the peanut butter dessert and although tasty and unique, it was also very dry. The waiters were attentive although a bit...
