Pretty awful experience compared to the other restaurants in East York, dallastown, and Lancaster. This was my first time at the new west York location and I figured it would be the same experiences at all the other locations. Quick service and good food, unfortunately I was wrong and this became the first time I have ever had a bad experience at a roburrito’s. First off they didn’t have the meat choice I prefer (pork) which was a little frustrating but I went with a secondary choice not that big a deal. Then the wait began. It took nearly 25 minutes to get our food! Then when I asked if they had a sauce I preferred for my salsa (peach warrior or blackberry warship) they were out of that too. Thankfully my food was good but my dads burrito was all rice with only 3 pieces of steak in the entire burrito. We were both terribly upset with the poor service and the restaurant was busy so we didn’t feel like complaining at that time. There is no reason to be out of a core item like pork and 2 of your most popular sauces. And the wait is ridiculous. Normally we’re in and out in 30 minutes compared to waiting almost 25 just to get our food. I’ve been told they strive to have a maximum of 10-12 minutes wait time between ordering and serving. Today was over double that time. I’m glad the new restaurant is opened on this side of town and it appeared very clean and much bigger space than the old restaurant but the service and food was just poor. Only way to put it sadly. I’ll give it a few more try’s but they really need to improve to meet the expectations set by the other...
Read moreI am not sure why this place gets such good reviews. It's average at best. The best thing on the menu is probably their sauces and I've only tried one.
I had a buritto with potatoes. They should season up the potatoes similar to how you'd season steak a little while cooking. The buritto was a little dry and flavorless. I did not know I should have asked for sauce in the buritto, so I am glad it dawned on me to ask for a side of sauce after I received my order, otherwise this review would have been 2 stars instead of 3. The sauce gave you an extra star.
The food and ingredients seemed fresh. The guac was fine. The buritto without sauce would have been nearly flavorless had it not been guac.
Whoever commented the burittos are huge, they're not. You must not get out often. They're a little smaller than some other places. I normally get a double tortilla wrap elsewhere, but here I didn't need that to contain the ingredients inside. It was wrapped well, though.
I tried the milder sauce with peach. It was tasty. I do like hot foods, but I wasn't feeling well today.
Would I go back for a second chance having given them a 2 / 3 star review? You bet. Like I said, the food seemed fresh, wrapped well, and I'd like to give them a chance with the steak this time. The people were friendly and the food seemed to come out pretty quick. They...
Read moreNow, I’m from Arizona, the land of burritos, so I’ll try to check my bias at the door.
The food was pretty good, just lacking in those traditional Southwest flavors. Not enough pico de gallo or cilantro, and certainly not enough seasoning or spice generally. Not to say Mexican food has to be spicy, but the citrus and cumin and chipotle elements were definitely lacking.
I thought I’d ordered a grilled burrito but it ended up being a quesadilla. My mistake, no big deal. I still enjoyed it. And the guacamole was solid!
I’d go back and try other items, and when I do, I’m most definitely asking for some of that hot sauce. Now, I’m not a restaurant owner, but I think that having 15 different salsa options is slightly overwhelming for most folks. Like, how in the heck are we supposed to choose one from so many choices? Help a brother out and limit that to three or four...
