I am a pretty big fan of Chipotle and have enjoyed over 100 meals from the establishment on 192 over the years thanks greatly in part to a colleague who always choose we eat there.
The main reasons he and eventually we regularly chose to eat there was the food was consistently good, the kitchen and staff polite, well organized, and focused on delivering the meal as requested.
In all those meals I never once felt they missed the mark and amazingly there were no mistakes. As a person who has owned a restaurant and worked as a chef I know that is extremely unlikely over a stretch of years where turnover was definitely taking place internally, but they management was able to keep it together.
Now since covid times we have a new location here in West Melbourne. I have eaten here on several occasions. Various times of day and various orders. I have monitored what's come in my family's orders closely and decided it had to stop.
I leave honest reviews for the restaurants and food shops I attend for two main purposes: help customers find where great culinary delights are coming to life, and to give owners/managers honest insights and praise.
Over the months of monitoring I have seen scores of reviews from other customers come pouring in. The message here is clear, people want this location to succeed, but amazingly the owner is not taking any visible steps towards acknowledging the need for improvements and change.
This is a case when the owner is not getting near the return on investment they could be. There needs to be an intervention to reset the management and staff to discard the bad actors and bring in great ones. Define and train to the Chipotle standards and get onboard with a real mission statement.
Reward good work and those who are honest standards upholding servants to your customers.
The customers will return and so will the good reviews and that investment will look a whole lot stronger come end of year.
It's your place, you have to decide. I can say this is probably 15th time this year I have decided to not buy my family and or colleagues lunch from...
Read moreI would like to start by saying I have eaten Chipotle since I was a young child, always a good experience, but as of recently I have had to hold myself back from writing this review to give this location a chance to redeem itself.
Today's visit at 9PM I was greeted by a line of 10-12 people, which is somewhat normal.. what is not normal is how little sense of urgency there was in the two gentlemen behind the counter. The line moved sluggishly, taking about 10+ minutes to get in front of the line. When I got to the front of the line, the first person employee asked me "what I wanted" and "did I want beans" and "anything else" with no sense of pride and no sense of urgency in his work. The second person also had no sense of urgency but was a little more professional.
When it cam time to pay I had to repeat that I would like two drink and a full-size back of chips. No big deal though, this could be written off because of the loud environment. What can't be written off is the bag of chips. The chips inside were stale.
Now at this point I was pretty upset but planned on just grabbing my napkins and utensils and putting it all behind me. What I was greeted with when I turned the corner was the last straw for leaving this review. I want to remind you this was at 9PM exactly, two hours before closing. Platters were covering trash cans, napkins dispensers were empty, straws, lids, and other trash was scattered over the counter and on the floor. To add insult to injury a half full sleeve of napkins was left in the middle of the counter..
Again 9PM, what appeared to be ample staffing, since I watched people laughing and joking lazily as I waited to order my food and as I left.
The one redeeming quality is the food, chips aside it rarely disappoints. Overall? Very disappointing. Very very...
Read moreWorst customer service and experience I’ve ever had. I’ve shared my experience and many people have had the same issue with this same manager in the photo attached. Not only did I go to get food on my break the pickup time said 6:10, due to the line I wasn’t able to get to the window until 6:12 food wasn’t ready, I had to be at work since 6:00 but it already was an inconvenience due to the inside of the store being closed. They had told me I had to go back on a long drive they line and I begged them nicely if they can please make it, it only had steak guacamole cheese and corn in the burrito pretty simple. Said manager came to window because I stood there waiting for them to come back to ask for a manger but she was also rude told me get out the line that she will call the cops I asked her how can I get a refund they said online but I didn’t see any options got back in line went to window opened my food before I left saw exactly what is in the 2nd photo tried to get their attention again but no one would come to the window not only was my food poorly put together it was handed to me rudely and I was missing things. With the way she acted I didn’t think she was a manager went in there November 2nd asking to speak to a manager she sent a manager in training cause she didn’t want to deal with me, manager in training said that the manager isn’t going to give me a refund or remake the food and that she also had an issue with her. Also that she called the cops to remove me for trespassing and gave me an incorrect number yo report her to corporate . I will be reporting everything, and she would not be able yo mange anywhere else. And sad to say at the rate this chipotle is going it might be shut down shortly...
