So just found this place, I recently moved to Palm Bay and I'm looking for a Great Greek restaurant, so we came here ro try out the food and let me tell you! Let's start with the service, my expectations were high since several reviews mentions great service so I was really happy to know we will be greet it with great customer service and once we go in it just went downhill from here!
So I asked the person on the register that it's our first time here at Spiros and I wanted to know if we order at the register or table and he just looked confused! So I asked again do we seat anywhere and he rolled his eyes so im guessing we do seat anywhere! I'm not trying to be picky!
So we seat and he came over after a few minutes and he asked what do we want and im like I just told you never been here and we need menus and he actually sigh 😕 that we asked for menus! I'm like do we order at the table or at the register so I'm getting confused, so came back with the menus and left! So we were like hopefully he comes back or I'll go to the register and order there! We looked at the menus and we decided on Avgolemono or lemon chicken soup and this was the start of the bad experience, the soup had lots of lumps of flour, very salty instead of lemony, I had really great Abgolemono where I'm from and it has chicken, rice and lots of lemon flavor, but this one had no chicken, no rice instead lumps of flour (I hope it was flour) and extremely salty, then we got our food and my order was chicken platter and it was cold 🥶 actually cold not even warm and it had no flavor at all, the gyro meat was better, the pita cold not warm or toasted, the Tzatziki was good, the Greek salad was mostly lettuce, almost no Feta cheese and the dressing tastes like Italian dressing, Greek authentic Greek dressing is easy to make, like really simple! The Humus was kinda dry not moist and it was a bit bitter, maybe old lemons or too much Tahini, the food quality tastes like food court mall food, fast and not very tasty! I don't recommend this greek place, it didn't hit the greek feel with the food and for the price we paid, it should have...
Read moreWe went here after an awesome experience at the Vero Beach location. It didn’t take long to be disappointed. Greasy / slick floor, disengaged / bored looking servers, and one of the tables sit directly under a HVAC line that drips constantly due to condensation. Server was leaning on the front desk, using her phone, having side conversations. These wouldn’t have bothered us normally but given the lackluster service it created a different vibe that wasn’t great.
Food itself has good flavors, but preparation was lacking compared to the Vero location. Gyro had very little greens. It was tasty still but needed more balance. We ordered the kids “grilled cheese and chicken”, but it was delivered with no chicken. There’s only 3 ingredients here, and to my knowledge a regular grilled cheese isn’t even on the menu. We asked if it should have chicken, to which the server agreed. She took the plate back and brought it back 10-15 minutes later. When she brought it back, she said “the sandwich is really hot, so be careful. The fries have cooled down a lot though so they should be good to eat now”. While the warning was appreciated, they took the hot fries back, let them sit while they remade the sandwich (added chicken to the existing one I think, but no big deal if that’s the case), then redelivered the same fries that had been sitting.
Meanwhile, the food we got previously was half eaten. Mistakes happen everywhere, but through the whole thing there wasn’t even so much as a sorry. All in all there are better Greek options in the area so there’s no compelling reason to come back here. Really disappointing because we absolutely loved the Vero location and would go back in...
Read moreThe food, in and of itself was fine. Nothing special. This is why it’s a two star vs. only one. The chicken was cooked. So hey - at least they won’t poison anyone. But message to the restaurant: if you don’t want to take carryout orders or if you don’t want to follow the changes which your app allows then just don’t. Or don’t take online orders after 8 pm (also - what restaurant closes at 9 pm on a Friday? But that’s a different question.)
So. It was supposed to be Gyro meat on my wife’s meal. It was chicken. She doesn’t like chicken. It wasn’t supposed to have peppers. It had peppers. Mine was not supposed to have American cheese or tomatoes. Guess what it had? People rave about the soup. Hey it’s carry out and you tied up the bag - would have assumed a spoon would be included. Guess what wasn’t included. (And yes - staying in a hotel so securing a spoon once back in the room not too easy. And the soup was fine.) Oh - and the ticket wasn’t even started until after 8:24 pm - when the order had been in for 15 mins. It was started when we came in to pick up the order at 8:30 pm. We received the food at 8:50 pm. Defeats the point of ordering ahead. For the middle of the road quality that took almost an hour to procure - with literally all of the order basically wrong - why go back?
Summary - if you want to try this place - and you’re doing take out - open the tied bag to make sure the order is correct. You shouldn’t have to. But I’d recommend it. Maybe the food is better than mid - but having crap on it that was not wanted (American cheese? ) or not the protein you ordered - just makes it not a good experience. Many other places to try...
