Wow! Bad wow. This location definitely needs senior management to take a look. Anytime we order online, the order is messed up so we opt to go to the Palm Bay location instead. Because my husband was in charge and not me, he tried to order online after work…spent time plugging in order….multiple times and order wouldn’t go through. So 8pm, my husband and I drive up. Immediately, the location felt rank.
The light fixtures over the tables were so rusted on the inside, you can see rust flaking off. Who wants to sit and eat with the threat of that falling into their food. Clear heath code issue overlooked by management.
I get to the counter to place my order. The marketing photos of limited time brisket…less than a quarter cup of crumbles nothing like the photo. Not appealing. Okay…my tried and true sofritos. Nope, we’re all out. Fajita veggies? Nope. We’re all out. Okay, what time do y’all close? 11pm. Okay. Then my husband goes to order brown rice. All out. Sigh. I get up to the register to pay and see a marketing board for drinks….yum, the watermelon limeade sounds delicious. Can I have that? We’re all out. Mind you, three people helped us in these interactions. Same response from all. What is going on tonight I ask? Cashier said, “that’s just the way it is.” Walking out, I see all of the drink dispensers empty. What a joke of an encounter as a former hospitality manager and food and beverage manager, I recognize these kids are not doing their job, but even more so I recognize the management of this establishment is a major part of the problem if not the problem. Someone from higher up needs to know the severity of this poorly run location.
I just can’t. I sit here with the takeaway food in front of me because I would not dare to eat there as who knows what else is not being done here, so disgusted. I don’t even trust to eat this food. Grossed out by this experience, but that’s just the way it is.
This location is in dire need of oversight from senior management. It’s time for someone in charge to step in and rectify these serious issues before they drive away more customers. The standards of service and hygiene should not be this low. I am not asking for help or a free meal. I am alerting senior management to be responsible and suggesting the leaders they hirer to hold their establishment to the minimum standards. Based on the influx of poor reviews, it is clear so far this efforts to inform are not...
Read moreHorrible customer service every single time I go to this location on N New Haven.
Walk in customers are entirely ignored while they work on mobile orders. Every single employee has a poor attitude. They avoid eye contact and will carry on full length conversations with other employees before acknowledging your presence. Today, I waited while one employee kept his back turned to me while he cut up meat (probably a cook who isn’t responsible for dealing directly with customer orders, but a simple “someone will be with you soon” would have sufficed). 2 other employees chatted at the cash register about another order for someone who was not in the building. A few minutes pass and an employee comes out of the bathroom and sees me, but quickly looks away while she strolls (leisurely) over to the counter to put her gloves on and chat with cook with his back turned before finally acknowledging I was there. After my order was finished, I got to the cash register where the 2 employees were discussing the order they were working on. It becomes clear that the order is for the manager who is standing with the employee. They spend a few minutes reading over all the discounts being applied to the managers order while I stood waiting to pay for my order. The employee at the register then told me to move out of the way so the manager could pay for her food and then she left.
It almost seems like a coordinated effort to make people place online order rather than come into the store. The mobile orders seem to be prioritized over everything else and the employees are apathetic at best - but most have a difficult time hiding their eye rolls and stone faced glares throughout customer interactions. Maybe they’ve grown comfortable wearing their masks which hide their facial expressions. I hope these people aren’t being paid more than minimum wage as their effort is less than the...
Read moreMy order pickup time was 5:45. I pulled into the restaurant right on time. I went inside and there were only about 2 people in line but I counted several employees. My meal was not ready which was alright, so I waited. I waited another 10 minutes before an employee even acknowledged me. I then got my food about 15 minutes later. I went through it and was missing my large guacomole. I then asked for it, which took another few minutes to recieve and when I did it was covered in guacamole all over the sides, it wasn't wiped off. I then got home and realized I was missing my extra tortilla I ordered and my mothers burrito was very sloppily made, it fell apart in her hands and she had only ordered beans, meat, and fajita veggies in it so it should not have been so difficult to eat. I have worked in food service for many years and I know how it is. I have never once written a bad review because I know it's not as easy and straight forward as it looks to the customer however there was hardly any customers and waiting 15 minutes for only a burrito bowl and a burrito seems excessive when the restaurant and parking lot were empty. And for there to be so many mistakes. I will say burrito bowl was very good and props to you guys for that. The food is always good, however service always seems to be lacking at this location. Whether I'm rushed through my order when ordering in store, or items are forgotten when I order online, something always seems to go wrong on that end. I know it's hard to always have a smile on your face when working customer service, however when the restaurant seems so slow (I may have walked in at the end of a rush that I didn't know about) I should at least be made to feel like I'm seen and a priority. I will say the gentlemen who was at the register and handed me my food, I did not catch his name, he was very kind and...
