The good: ordered the 13 chocolate chip cookie tote (look under promotions in the app). OMG! They are made fresh and are delicious!! I hate to admit it, but I ate seven of them as soon as I arrived home. Lesson here is: don't order them alone on an empty stomach!
The not-so-good: the drive-thru clerk skipped taking my order (two orders in a row on the same lane). Since I had a mobile order, I just drove around to the first window. Then, he did not know how to process the mobile order (on-the-job training while customers are waiting is not the way to run a business). At least both he and his trainer were friendly and had a good banter between themselves. Oh, and he could not print my receipt. Fix your registers, or train your employees on how to refill the paper!
On the subject of mobile ordering, someday, soon, a fast food company will only take mobile orders at the drive-thru window. Those clunky speaker/microphones will go the way of the rotary phone. As a beta test, McDonald's, turn that outer drive thru lane into a mobile-order-only line! Don't waste my time waiting for those three cars ahead of me to fumble through ordering while I wait to get my previously ordered coffee and large fries.
I have used all three forms of food pickup with the Mcdonald's app. In my opinion, the fastest delivery is drive-thru if there are fewer than four cars in line. Walk-in is second fastest, because I believe they prioritize curbside pickup the same as walk-in, only with walk-in, you do not have to wait for someone to have the time/ambition to walk your order to your car. In reality, they should prioritize curbside the same as drive thru, same as when you are in the drive-thru line and they ask you to pull ahead or to the side. Maybe that is the policy, but I have waited, at this McDonald's, (for a simple order of iced coffee and large fries) as four or more drive-thru cars received their orders.
It goes without saying (but I will say it anyway), Mcdonald's fries are the best!! Caution: it is hit or miss at the end of the day whether or not the oil is too old/rancid (fries are flimsy, oil-logged, and sometimes, worst of all, have that rancid oil taste). Most likey, there is a company policy on how often or when to change the oil, but the employees forget or just let it go until someone complains about...
Read moreI went to this Mc Donald's several months ago to have some time to relax and have my childhood favorite, a fish sandwich.
I ordered the meal and took my drink and went to sit down on the side. A few minutes went by and the hostess brought a meal like the one I ordered to another table and then left.
I waited a few more minutes and then went to check up on my meal, at that time a woman who wasn't at that table, brought the meal up and gave it to the cashier (I guess it wasn't their meal). The cashier in turn was giving it to me. I told her that I didn't want that meal (the meal was unattended to, and they might have gone through the food to see if it was theirs).
The manager got involved and said if I wanted her to 'fix' me another one, and I told her yes.
I did notice at the time there was another fish sandwich on the counter that they was going through. She then took one and threw it in the garbage and gave me the other (I thought she was going to make another one for me as she suggested).
I went and sat down puzzled, later on that day I did a survey and it said that someone would contact me, but no one ever did.
I told my children about the incident, and I got scolded because I always tell them to stand up for themselves and of course I didn't do it for myself. As I told you earlier, I went in to relax and I guess that's what happened, because I didn't overact at that time.
Because of that incident, I would never look at a Mc Donald's fish sandwich again. My childhood comfort food dream has been spoiled.
If the restaurant would do something like that in your face, what would they do when no one is looking? I haven't been back at that location and I would not go back there under any...
Read morePlaced an online order through the app and received the wrong item. I called McDonald’s when I got home and realized and spoke with Jesus (had a strong Hispanic accent) and said I can come any time and just let them know what happened and they’ll give me the right item. 2 weeks later on Mother’s Day i go with my 2 girls and ordered food. I placed the order CORRECTLY and they asked me to pull to the side so they can prepare my order. They forgot my ranch that I ordered. After waiting for about 10 minutes the guy finally comes out to bring me my meal and it was wrong. He goes back and a few moments later comes out with the SAME BURGER. Still wrong so I go inside. I spoke to Jesus and he asked me if I had my receipt because they made the order right from what was on the screen. I told him no KNOWING I placed it correctly and I also let him know about the wrong order from last time. He said he doesn’t recall ever having a conversation with me (of course not he just gaslit me into thinking I ordered my meal wrong). They stole $5 from me and I let him know but he didn’t care to do anything about it. I’m never coming to this location again. They can’t even get simple orders correct and the assistant manager or whatever the hell he is doesn’t care...
