Ray's World Famous BBQ — Restaurant in West Memphis

Anyone giving these clowns more than 1 star must not know too much about what propery prepared (REAL PIT SMOKED)BBQ looks and tastes like. I live in the area and the people who have given bad reviews are absolutely right (this supposed to be a is a $20 dinner after 2 or 3 bites) anything looks good when you take a picture with these smartphones. These people should be ashamed of themselves overcharging mostly truckers who they may never see for months. Boiled ribs with a hint of liquid smoke is NOT BBQ! I was hoping that they would read their customer reviews and take heed, but you can forget about that. What really turned me off was this 500 pound lady putting Kroger potato salad on my plate while she nuked the hell out of my food, then to top it off, she was touching my food with no gloves on, and then wiping her hands on a dirty ass apron. By far the most disgusting food I’ve ate since being a truck driver. Asked for pulled pork sandwich and got something that wasn’t what I ordered. Asked for refund on card (not a cash refund like posted) and they wouldn’t do it so I said fine give me something else (bbq nachos) chips are stale like really nasty stale and the cheese was well I wouldn’t call it cheese or like yellow oil. The bbq pork was just chunks of fat no meat at all. The cook was pouring sweat like he was on a good one but I’m sure it was a cheap owner not having air conditioning for his employees. The waitress seemed new so I can’t blame her for not know how to do Apple Pay or that they didn’t have pulled pork but the cook should have. The fry’s were nasty unsalted sticks. TL;DR: VERY expensive for the quality, which was “Ok” at best.

SIDES: Mac and beans. The Mac was inedible. You could taste the powdered cheese still, no seasoning that I could find. The beans were good, but there seemed to be fresh cut green onion or something, that was chewy.

Entrée: Spare and Baby back ribs. Fall off the bone and seasoned enough. Met the bare minimum for a decent rib, but not impressive. I’d still take Applebees ribs over these.

ACCESS: difficult to get into and out of due to its proximity to the traffic light/intersection. It’s also very small so just 2-3 cars makes it packed.

PRICE: For two rib combos, with the 2 sides that it came with, price was 60 dollars.

Customer service: All I could really say is “they weren’t rude”, which is saying a lot since most places I go in West Memphis so far are rude.
