I am a professional dog trainer. I brought my client, her mother, and my client's service dog into the store on Saturday May 4th 2024. My client's dog did an amazing job within the store. He preformed a "find mom" task where he finds my client's mother in an emergency. There were multiple distractions while he was preforming this task and he did not once make a mistake here. As we were wrapping up our session, there were multiple children running and walking around very close to my client and her service dog who is fully public access trained by the way. We are currently working on his task work. He did not even stand up to try to interact with the children. We wrapped our session up and my client and her mother proceeded to check out while I went to pick up a few more things I needed. My client and her mother walked up to a register where a cashier named Brittany F was working. This lady decided it would be a great idea to interact with my clients service dog. She began to talk to him and reach over the counter in an attempt to pet him. My client and her mother corrected him as Brittany continued to interact with a service dog, which is a misdemeanor by the way! My client and mother finished checking out and left the store. As I was walking up the counter to check out I heard the lady in front of me as well as the cashier telling each other how my client should not even be allowing anyone to interact with her service animal (which is false if my client wants to allow someone to pet her service dog she has all the right to do so). No BRITTANY you are committing a crime by talking to and attempting to pet him! They continued to talk down upon my client and her dog. I know for a fact that my client's service dog will not jump up onto a counter in a public place unless invited to do so. This location has lost my business, as a matter of fact I put all my stuff down by the register and walked out of the store. This location needs to educate their employees about service dogs. Everyone else in the store was great! However my client needs that dog to help her be independent and someone like Brittany can and did put my client's life at risk by interacting with her dog! Get it together Hobby Lobby! Get it together Brittany! Fix the problem! This was an awful experience and I am so disappointed...
Read moreWe decorate Christmas trees thru out the year for a living. We love to use hobby lobby as a resource. Today, we left 2 carts full of Easter decor sitting in the store. We did not buy this time. What would have been a $400+ transaction for them turned into a sour experience due to one employee and her manager. We laid our materials out in the isle so we could evaluate what we were going to purchase for our customer when we were approached by said employee. She told us that we needed to stop putting things places they didn’t belong…needless to say, she can put every bit of what I was going to purchase back by herself now and I’ll go somewhere else to buy supplies. Her manager was just as incompetent as she was and told us the girl had been in a great mood all day. You cannot go up to customers and make them feel uncomfortable while shopping. Will...
Read moreI've been several times in the recent days. I love the selections but do miss some of the areas that have been downsized. Sometimes I get frustrated trying to understand what is on sale in an area. For example, an initial look at the jewelry section looked like all the section was on sale. After check out, discovered 1/2 of what I picked up was not on sale. Also, there were a lot of items not in the system and the price not marked on the package. Of the three checkout lines open when I was there, every person checking out had at least one item someone had to physically go find the price on the shelf or the front end manager used their cell phone to access the Hobby Lobby website to try to find a price but even there it was sometimes difficult to find the exact item. It significantly slowed down checkout and this the reason...
