I cannot say more good things about this little hidden gem of a bakery. Ironically, a health coaching client of mine told me about it last year and being so close to Weehawken, I had to check it out because French pastries are my absolute favorite treats! I was not disappointed and everything Camille (the owner) makes, you can tell is made with love, intention, skill and passion. Her French classics are divine, perfectly flaky and buttery. Everything from her various croissants (almond is my fave) to her quiches, to her other baked goods are amazing. I even got to try a true French King Cake and what a difference between that and the New Orleans style. Parking is the only challenge, as is common in West New York, but totally worth the trip. Best pastries hands down...

Ordered the lemon tartlet and the chocolate éclair. For the second time (it happened to me a couple of month ago) the éclair had nearly no filling, nothing inside. When it happened to me the first time, I told them and was allowed to pick something else but this time I was driving and realized that once home.
I am French. They claim to be a French bakery but don't have French consumer-facing staff nor do they sell anything specifically French (besides croissants that one finds at any starbucks).
In addition, their prices are pretty steep for the neighborhood, $4 a chocolate croissant anyone?

This particular business location has always been cursed and every restaurant, or anything of the sort has always had really bad luck here, until Le Petite Bakery. That is probably because they were all the same type of establishment you could find on almost every block. Le Petite Bakery is not only very different but also very creative and innovative within the world of French baked goods.
