I was trying to support local businesses, but just had a terrible experience with the service on this place, and the people who appear to be the owners, so I had to move downhill to the Starbucks... Here it goes: At the first time I came to the Park Café for breakfast and was greeted with no smiles or good morning that was fine, maybe just a cultural difference, I am a New Yorker and I am used to that. It was only after inquiring about the Free Wi-Fi (advertised) that something felt pretty weird on their staff attitude, the answer was "Yes, we have Wi-Fi, but for 1 hour only". "Thats ok" I said, and moved on to have my breakfast, then used their Wi-Fi for a little and left not to cause any problems. On that day I used their Wi-Fi for one hour after having my breakfast, after all that was the limit. Not giving up of our local businesses today I came back, and ordered only coffee (their Bagel was pretty bad on the day before). So, I had a sit, on a 'empty Café with no other customers at 10AM on a Thursday, and stayed for a while, just on my phone. After that I pulled my laptop to check on e-mails and get going with my day (I though I could be there for a 1 hour free Wi-Fi), but for my surprise 4 more customers came into the place and the owner decided that I had to go, he wanted my seat open for 'more' customers... The Café was pretty empty, there was plenty seats... but he assumed that I wasnt going to consume anything else or whatever, and kicked me out saying I couldn't stay having one Coffee for "five hours" and that he had already told me that on the day before... I was kicked out at 10:45AM - I was there for less than one hour, and only for 5 minutes on their precious Wi-Fi - I am frustrated and wanted to share this experience, because after all, Starbucks was once a family regional business that wanted their customers on their Café for as much as they could stay, after all this is America and people has money, and they will always have more than just one Cup of Coffee... Hope the owners learn that their way of doing business is not what their customer is looking for. Hope they can change and apologize. But that doesn't matter now, I will try to stay away and find another Café in the area. "Not to mention that their Coffee quality is very bad, the place has serious safety and quality issues, the bathroom is worst than a buss Stop Bathroom and smells bad, and is attached to the kitchen, and has a hole on the floor, from which you can see the dirty basement below. I hope they don`t store Coffee beans and Bagels in there! I hope they change their police and improve their Customer Service because the place is on a great location and has a great potential. From a person who very rarely...

As you can see, I don't give many reviews but this "experience" merited one.
I come in Sunday around 10am and order French Toast, Homefries, Bacon and an Espresso. The food was delivered quickly and looked wonderful. My only gripe at that point was minor. I was expecting traditional bacon instead it was some sort of Turkish bacon. I assumed and that's on me.
I get through one slice of french toast. I pick up one of those plastic Heinz ketchup bottles on the table. I open the flip top and the ketchup bottle explodes. Ketchup is all over my face, getting in my eye, my shirt, and my meal (see photo). This is even forgivable. What is unforgivable is that the ketchup was R-A-N-C-I-D. It's like 3 colors lighter than it should be and smells awful.
This is the point where I ask for my money back.
The guy at the counter is like "This is bad." I said "Yeah...I know. May I have my money back?" I give him my card and he runs to his manager. She comes out the back speaking to him in what I assume is Turkish (you know, based off the bacon). Counter guy translates saying she's not giving me my money back.
She then swiftly gathers the Ketchup bottle and cleans where I sat before I can take pictures. She tells me, in English, that the ketchup bottle exploding is not her problem. At this point, I'm definitely mad. I wasn't given a receipt, so I ask for it. They refuse. I tell them I'm not leaving without it.
The manager goes to the back and get what I assume is a cook. He takes a random receipt and THROWS it at me and tells me to get out. I check the receipt to see if it's mine. It is not. I ask for my receipt. He then threatens to call the cops and tells me I am criminal for staying in the restaurant. The manager then slams her hand on the counter and screams at me to get out. She threatens to call the cops on me.
I quote the great Titus Burgess:
"Girl, do your show..."
The manager tells the counter guy to call cops. To his credit, he refuses. He gives me the total so I can contest the charges.
I highly suggest you take your business elsewhere. You...

I stopped by Park Café for a quick pick-me-up and ended up loving my little brunch moment here. I ordered a cheese danish, a vanilla latte, and a strawberry smoothie—and honestly, everything hit the spot. The danish was buttery and flaky, the smoothie was super fresh and not too sweet, and the latte was smooth and just the right amount of vanilla.
The vibe is cozy and laid-back, perfect for grabbing a bite or sitting with a laptop. It’s a cute neighborhood café that serves breakfast, lunch, and drinks at really fair prices.
Service was friendly and quick, even with a steady flow of customers. It can get busy during brunch hours, but they keep things moving.
