We went to Brazeiro as part of my brother's bachelor party. We were originally going to go to a (much more expensive) place in the city. The restaurant is small and very unassuming. We got there at 8 and 2 women were sitting having dinner. Only a few other patrons came in while we were there, so it felt like our own private party. It's a family owned restaurant with the son as our waiter and his parents and another chef cooking in the back. He was very personable and the service plus his parents coming to ask how everything was (delicious!) made it feel like we were having dinner at a friend's house. The food was amazing and the 8 of us stuffed ourselves. We could barely do round 2 and I was the only one to have dessert--the flan-- which was also incredible. It's a BYOB place, so we brought our whiskey and beer with us. I was really glad that we decided on Braziero b/c we could not have gotten that kind of attention at any of the places in the city. And the total price per person was only about $45 and that includes us all paying for my brother. If you include the alcohol we bought it would be $55-$60/person. You can't beat that! If you're thinking of doing Rodizio (sic) style Brazilian in/around the city, skip the ones in Manhattan. Brazeiro is definitely the...
Read moreWe wanted to do Brazilian in Manhatten, but decided to go to Brazeiro Churrascaria instead because it was less expensive. We had a party of 8 and the staff fully accommodated our party. They do not serve alcohol, but the staff gave us permission to BYOB and even to use their cooler. The service surpassed our expectations and our waiter accommodated our every need. The salad and sides were tasty, but we saved our appetite for the main attraction: meat. Every few minutes, a new skewer was brought out from the grills hot and hand carved at the table. Sirloin steak, skirts steak, chicken thighs, chicken breast, Brazilian sausage, chicken hearts, pork ribs - the meat was amazing. Always fresh, hot, and cooked perfectly. After the first round, our waiter invited us to have more of anything we liked. I loaded up on the skirt steak, it was so amazing.
Overall, the restaurant was small, but very clean, well appointed, and attractive. The wait staff was among the best I have experienced. Aside from our party of 8, a few couples came and went and pickup orders were consistently coming and going.
I HIGHLY recommend Brazeiro Churrascaria for any size party. Avoid the crowds and cost of the city. Go to Brazeiro...
Read moreOne of my good friends just moved within walking distance of Brazeiro, we decided to check it out with a small group because it had positive reviews, and I'm glad we did. Their entrees come with the choice of 2 sides, 2 of us chose a skirt steak with platanos and a salad while my friend and his girlfriend split their 2 for $20 dinner special. The steak was a little salty but otherwise fantastic and the platanos where crispy on the outside but melted in your mouth. The 2 for $20 was definitely worth it for the two others as well, they got 2 small pieces of steak (about half the size of a palm), a half chicken and half a rack of ribs as well as rice and beans for about 6 people. The chicken skin was crispy and delicious and the dry rub on the ribs was just out of this world. The food was so filling we decided to all split a piece of flan for dessert...man I wish I was hungrier because even the flan was outstanding. On top of everything, the prices are fantastic, for a steak dinner and soda I spent $25 (with a $5 tip). The only draw back is a lack of a bar, however I'm pretty sure they're byob and Hollywood liquors is 30 seconds away on...
