I've tried them out twice and it's been good so far. The first time I enjoyed the enchiladas de pollo en mole and I was pleased by the flavor of the rice and beans. The enchiladas were pretty good, though I experienced an anxiety-inducing issue that came from the chicken. A dry and hard string of chicken ended up in the dish and I didn't notice it until I had a hard time swallowing anything else. I spent a few minutes trying to cough it up and let out a huge sigh of relief once successful. I am pretty sure this was an honest mistake on their end, anyway. I'd love them to add a bit more in their alambre dish for takeout since I felt the portion was a bit short for how much it cost.

We just returned home from Benji's. This is a restaurant where we routinely placed orders for delivery. Today, we decided to stop by for breakfast. We ordered one order of steak tacos and two orders of gorditas, one with chicharrones and one with steak. We were informed the gorditas would take 15-20 minutes, which was fine. As we waited for our orders to be completed, the waitress was in the back of the restaurant kissing and making out with a gentleman. Highly unprofessional. My husband then requested to have the tacos as we waited for the gorditas. The tacos were very fresh and delicious. Once the gorditas arrived, it was immediately obvious the corn gorditas were over cooked, very hard to bite and uncomfortable to chew. My steak was good but the casing was horrible. My husband's gordita sandwich was filled with mainly lettuce, crumbled cheese and sour cream. It was so uncomfortable to chew, my husband decided to eat just the meat. There was barely any chicharrones visible to be eaten. We decided to voice our displeasure with our meals to the waitress. The waitress then proceeds to tell the cook we were unhappy because there was hardly any chorizo (we ordered chicharrones) and the cook became highly annoyed. He stated my husband should have said something before he ate one of the gorditas, they come in three, and there was indeed enough meat in the sandwich. We opened the sandwich for him to see and he continued to argue with us, complaining very loudly in spanish, which my husband speaks fluently, and was very argumentative and unprofessional. We decided not to place a second order of tacos to replace the gorditas, and we left the restaurant highly annoyed, disrespected and no longer with an appetite to eat anything from this restaurant. As we were leaving, the cook continued to make disparaging comments insinuating we were trying to get a free meal. I left my two gorditas on the table, my husband paid for our meals, left the waitress a tip and vowed never to return to this establishment with highly unprofessional employees. The picture displays one of the three gorditas. I opened one and consumed the steak only. At the end of this ordeal, we paid 37 dollars, which included a 7 dollar tip, for one order of 4 tacos.

I was at this restaurant tonight, I’ve ordered from here a few times through uber eats and decided to stop by in person. They have signs advertising happy hour every day from 3pm-6pm. My fiancee and I both ordered drinks within this timeframe. When the bill came, unfortunately after paying, I realized I was overcharged for these drinks. When brought to the attention of staff, the server agreed I was overcharged but said there was nothing they could do about it. I immediately contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge and am waiting to hear back. Meanwhile, I tried contacting the restaurant to speak to the manager and was told by Claudia that the manager not only does not have set working hours, but that she was not allowed to “disclose personal information” such as his name. I will not be coming back here and I would advise everyone to check their bills before paying them. Terrible service.

Update: Total RUNAROUND!!! Ubereats says it's Benjis responsibility & Benjis says it's Ubereats responsibility!!! Now when speaking to Benjis they said they couldn't change the heat of the chorizo (which I don't understand I have had many chorizos that aren't spicy!!) but if you saw CLEARLY on both items not spicy no jalapeño why the heck wouldn't you reach out to the customer either themselves or thru Uber eats to make me customer aware so I could have made a different choice!!! So no stuck with two uneatable entrees with no resolution.... We got 2 Chorizo Enchiladas BUT specifically asked for them NOT to be spicy but they were so HOT we could not eat the food so we paid $70 for 2 Guacamole & Chips!!!

Seafood soup was ordered when we got home we discovered they gave us beef soup instead which had hair in it. I called and spoke to a lady there and she told me I would have to pay the difference for the seafood soup which was fine, but she says I also would have to pay for delivery or pick up the soup. I find that they have no courtesy and I will not be buying from them again. She couldn’t even apologize for the hair I found in the soup. My husband was sick and needed the soup so I agreed to have the soup delivered for which I paid the lady who brought it over the difference, the delivery fee and tipped her real good.

I went to the restaurant a few days ago and I would definitely go back. Mexican food is my favorite cuisine and this restaurant does not disappoint! The food was delicious and the prices are pretty good. They give huge portions. I got the chicken avocado taco salad and the chorizo con queso y chips as a shared appetizer. I also got a mango smoothie and it was soooo good. It tasted very fresh and it wasn't overly sweet. The staff was very nice and packaged my leftover food to go for me. They cleaned and sanitized the tables and took our temperatures upon entry since we decided to dine in. Very nice establishment.
