CAFECITO SHOP — Restaurant in West Orange

Walking into this cafe was the best decision I made today. Firstly, their customer service is impeccable, everyone was very friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in. They provide more enough seating with options to relax both indoor and outdoor.

Now let’s discuss food and beverage. The Aplastao is a must; a deliciously pressed Puerto Rican sandwich. Their pastries were scrumptious, literally all of them. From the guava and cheese, to the apple turnovers, and the alfajores may just be my favorite. My kids loved their fluffy chocolate muffins which we had warmed.

Every single beverage we tried did not miss! They serve a wonderful iced pistachio latte; it wasn’t overly sweet which I love and it’s for sure the best pistachio latte I’ve tried thus far. The strawberry vanilla matcha latte was another hit for the family. Lastly we had their iced chai latte and my husband couldn’t stop raving about it.

Immediately upon walking in, the vibe and aura caught my attention. The space has this clean, minimalist look -mostly black and white but with a subtle Feng Shui that just feels right. Then you notice the little touches that make it special: classic games like Jenga, Connect Four, and Chess sitting on tables, and even some dope vinyl coasters that add character.

The coffee? Excellent. Rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. I paired mine with a Blueberry Turnover that was absolutely delicious - fresh, flavorful, and perfectly flaky.

What really sealed it for me though was the staff. Genuinely kind, attentive and just super nice to the 1000th power. You can tell they care about the experience they’re creating here.

All around, this spot gives off good, positive energy - the kind that makes you want to slow down, enjoy your drink and stay awhile (which I did).

Definitely a gem in West Orange.

I came here on a Sunday morning and it was the perfect way to start the day. The coffee was smooth and flavorful, and the croissant I ordered was buttery and fresh. The shop had a laid-back vibe with just the right amount of background music. I sat by the window and enjoyed people-watching while sipping my latte. The staff was cheerful and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Prices are fair and portions are generous. It’s a great spot to unwind, whether you’re alone or with friends.
