So I visit Buds maybe twice a month when I go to the local thrift shop. Today I went in for what I always get which is the fingers, always fresh and perfectly coated and the fries are always hot and fresh fried. Today after I was helped and eating I witnessed an older man who needed some kind of help ordering over his phone even though he was in the the building? Haha who knows maybe a deal online or his payment info in the phone? Anyways my review is due to the young lady behind the counter took the time to help him even doing the order on his phone with him! She did it with patience and a smile the whole time. I am a restaurant manager myself and it’s not easy to always take that extra step when realistically she isn’t getting anything extra by going above and beyond like she did, she wasn’t asked by a manager or seemed annoyed at any time. I believe her name is Erin(not sure the spelling)I made sure to let her know how nice that was and put a smile on my face. You have a great team member Buds! Keep up the great work and fresh food! Ben eating at Buds since I was a kid...
Read moreThey have great "lunch quickies" that range from $6 to $8, that includes a side and two corn fritters. Pay a little more and get a drink with it. I'm not big on their crinkle cut fries because they seem to get squishy quick if you're getting it to go. You can always opt for one of their several sides to substitute. They offer fried chicken, chicken fingers, fish sandwich, fried shrimp, clam strips and sometimes scallops and oysters. Oh and let's not forget chicken wings and bbq pork (?) sandwiches. Now I've never had their fish or they're bbq but everyone says it's the best fish sandwich you'll ever have and the BBQ is good too. Never been in one that is impressive as far as its dining area but you're not going for the ambience. If you've got a large order or in a hurry I would suggest calling ahead and make your order. The place stays consistently busy but you can usually get in and out within about 15...
Read moreI placed a phone order, but forgot to add some stuff to the order, so I figured I’d order at the drive thru when I got there. Turns out they close at 9 and I had driven up at 9:05. As the girl in the drive thru told me they were closed and I told her that, not only do I have a pick up order, but I also wanted to add 3 dinners to the order, she told me to drive up and talk to the manager. I explained my dilemma to the manager, and even though I could tell she was hesitant and a little annoyed (understandably), she still served us and made us fresh food. Thanks to her understanding and kindness, my family and I still got to eat dinner together, despite my lack of attention to the time. 10/10 will continue to eat here (before closing next time) and everyone on shift...
