I tried every avenue to avoid having to publicly share a negative review but it would seem that corporate needs to pay closer attention to this location and assist them with all aspects from customer service to food preparations. My kids both have activities about 2 blocks away several times a week so a quick, somewhat healthy choice for food in a hurry is PDQ. We've been to numerous other PDQ in the state, mostly in Tampa and area but we always seem to have issues with this location. The food quality is not consistent. The customer service needs a lot of work, they are rude and seem bothered when you come to order. On several occasions our order is missing items. We don't order complicated "custom" items. We are just ordering off the menu and more than a few times our bag is missing a fries, dipping sauces for the chicken or my most recent visit the chicken was missing from my chicken salad. I have called and spoke with someone who claimed to be the shift manager and I would be very surprised if that was truly her role because she was extremely rude and seemed to have a response for everything except she could not just say "i'm sorry you were missing items you paid for, let us get those for you on your next visit". So I went to corporate because we would like to continue visitings and enjoying their food but maybe a visit from upper management could help in the areas they need it most. Corporate must have sent my message back to the store because I was contacted by a nice woman who said she was very sorry to hear of the issues and that she wanted to help us by refunding our recent meal that was missing the chicken and also leave a replacement for us to use for our next visit. Very thoughtful and accommodating. We weren't able to visit for about a week but we stop by and I asked about the replacement meal that was left in the "book" for us. The young girl at the window said she didn't know anything about a book and got a man who appearing to be a kitchen manager (white chef outfit) and he came over after about 3 minutes to say he didn't know about it or have my name. Okay so the manager forgot, no big deal. So I said well I would like to order some other items and he very rudely said "well we aren't going to give you those for free".... I smiled and laughed and said the credit card i'm holding in my hand is to pay for the items that I am going to be ordering but on second thought I would rather give my money to a business that understand customer service and appreciates our business. We made it our mission to find a new spot to dine at several times a week and we have found about a quarter mile down the street is a new small restaurant that is owned and operated by a family locally and they serve fresh, healthy and delicious bowls that you can customize. The best part is that each time we have gone in since finding them the owner has a BIG smile on his face and is genuinely happy to have our business. The kids and I are enjoying this new find and my advice to the management or corporate if they ever bother to read this is that you need to get back to customer service, having good food is important but keeping your repeat customers coming back and happy is far more important. I've always said that a good leader is the key to a successful business. You have a long way to go with those location if you want to compete with like franchises who make customer...
Read moreAlways wanted to try a PDQ and I ended up on a job nearby. This review is after 3 visits to this location over a month. I'll start with the good. The chicken is really good. The honey mustard is great. They have a ton of sauces that I haven't tried but all sound great. The lemonade is also great, you can tell it's freshly made. I'm also hooked on their green tea which is sourced from Joffrey’s. It's a high quality tea and it stands out. They have Coke freestyle machines where you can choose from basically any flavor soda. The staff have always been friendly and courteous.
I like the options on the menu, a nice variety of stuff but they stay in their lane. I haven't tried the broccoli but I like to see healthy side alternatives. A few salads, a few sandwiches, grilled, fried, spicy etc. They have shakes, cookies, I even tried my first Cheerwine. This place has it all.
I ordered a salad a few times and it was not made consistently. One time it was tenders cut up. One time it was nuggets. One time it has a nice amount of cheese and toppings, another time it didn't. Each time I have ordered an extra side of dressing but they have never included it. Overall it's a decent salad.
I stopped in at lunch time 2 out of the 3 times. Each time the drive thru line blocked the parking lot which is tight. The spaces are quite close together, some of the spots are marked for compact. Other spots are for pickup only. The inside line was almost out the door. They seem understaffed and have trouble keeping up. I waited in line 10 minutes on my last visit to order and I was second in line. They simply weren't taking orders. I understand this is an issue everywhere lately.
I appreciate the handwashing station out in the open. It's a nice touch. It's not very clear where to order though, there isn't a traditional register station. If nobody is standing there you wouldn't know where to go. Also when dining in, there are signs for mobile orders etc but no signs where to just receive your food you just ordered.
My biggest complaint at this PDQ location is the inside of the restaurant. It's quite spacious and has many tables but good luck finding a clean one. The seats are dirty, sticky, torn and just neglected. The tables weren't any better as I went table to table to find anywhere decent to sit. The trash cans are usually overflowing. The soda station is messy. There was a line at the soda machine because one side ran out of ice. I have never seen anyone wiping down anything in this restaurant or dealing with any of these issues. They need to give some attention to the dining room.
Overall the restaurant needs some work, The outside hose is leaking, the flooring is separating, the walls were dirty. It just needs some love.
I will probably return to PDQ but hopefully they work out some of their issues at this location. The food is not particularly cheap nor fast, but at the end of the day it was...
Read moreI am not the kind of person who eats fast food often, but whenever I do it is PDQ. I love this place their food is fresh and delicious and satisfying. I frequent this location once every few months since they opened, I don't live that close I actually live closer to another location but I drive to this one because I just love it so much. Anyway, I have eaten here a dozen times and have always had incredible customer service and incredible food. The last time I ate here, about a month ago I had an issue with my order and wasn't happy, but I had already driven all the way home when I opened my order. I called this location and spoke to a manager and explained what was wrong. They looked up my receipt and put my name and order down in a book and told me whenever I came next they would replace my meal for free. Today was the first opportunity I had to get over there and it had been over a month so I didnt think they would even still have a record of me, but sure enough they did and gave me my entire meal again for free and it was perfect and delicious. The manager and all the associates we're professional and great as always. After eating here over 12 times, and only having a mistake once, and having it handled so well I couldn't be more satisfied. I love this place and will be a...
