Edited 9/29/25 Horrible, just horrible! Way higher prices and bad tasting food. People don’t mind an increase but the taste and appearance was a huge downgrade. If you can’t afford to stay in business close. This strategy is going to cost you customers. If you’re jacking up the price to meet cost of goods then at minimum make sure the quality and taste is superior so we forget about the high prices. Last time giving them my money.
1st visit review Needed a quick snack while waiting for an appointment. I Got the beef patty (meh) but the fried dumpling was offffff the chain. Ate it while drinking a cup of WAWA coffee and let me tell you. It hit the spot like no body’s business. It was huge, fluffy, crispy on the outside and needed no butter, sauce or anything. Went down very well. Yummy!!
Went back on 6/20/22 and ordered one small jerk chicken, one small Oxtail, 2 soda and was hit with $45.00 total. I was so shocked but since I invited my husband to try the food I grin and bear it. The jerk chicken was bearable at $14 but $23 for Oxtail was beyond outrageous! I felt like robbed. Even if the food tasted bad at this point I was going to choke it down. The food wasn’t bad but honey I can tell you that I will NEVER be back! It’s the audacity for me. They don’t even have the prices listed on the menu board so basically you can’t tell before ordering but as a Jamaican you have guesstimate how much the food will run. My feelings are really hurt on this one.

Read moreThis place was my first Jamaican food experience and the best one I’ve tried so far.
I came here around September of 2021 with a Jamaican coworker. I’m from California so I decided to do and try everything new while I was traveling and the subject of Jamaican food came up and I instantly ready to try it.
We went on a Monday to cherry’s and I didn’t know what to order 😹 I was so clueless until my Jamaican coworker had to tell me what to try.
I ended getting the jerk chicken and the oxtail and oh my god… that was literally a life changing experience. I’ve never tried jerk chicken before so when I bit into it my tastebuds were in heaven, complete bliss. The oxtail was so tender, juicy and fatty but oh so delicious. The rice… even the rice blew me away. I’ve tried all kinds of rice but Jamaican rice has to be my favorite so far. I would come here again if I was still in the east coast. Yeah it’s a little overpriced but you’re paying for quality after I’ve tried other Jamaican restaurants that weren’t so good.
If you want a great Jamaican food experience come here for a bite and leave...
Read moreI had Cherry's recently cater a birthday party for my wife in our home. I decided to have Jamaican food as we (and a number of our friends who were going to be at the party) are going on a Jamaican trip in the spring. Cherry was absolutely accommodating to work with and offered some great suggestions for the night's menu. For entrees, we went with curried goat, jerk chicken, and oxtail stew - all fantastic! The cheeseburger patty app was absolutely amazing. Cherry and her two servers were on-time for set-up, extremely professional, and very gracious to the guests. They took extra measures to be clean and prompt in the setup and teardown of the dinner - no messes were made or left behind. After the party, I received rave reviews for days from the guests who just loved the food. I am sure Cherry will get some new business at her restaurant from those who were at the party. If you are looking for delicious, authentic Jamaican food served by a caring businesswoman, definitely give...
