At the airport Starbucks this morning I went in to pick out a tumbler to use my rewards on and ordered a drink. I had 465 points and $8.65 in my wallet. I told the service lady at the counter I was using my rewards. But she didn’t put it in so when I scanned my wallet it took the $8.65 and she said I still had a balance of $18. I explained with my rewards and the balance in my wallet I shouldn’t have any outstanding balance. She then told me she couldn’t do anything about it because there was no one there and I couldn’t claim the rewards on the tumbler but I could go get a coffee mug so I grabbed a mug and she had me scan my wallet again and took 150 stars to make my drink free but still wanted me to pay $16 for the remainder of the mug. I explained I didn’t want the mug any more if she could please just make my drink but she argued that I needed to pay for the remaining balance because she couldn’t refund what she took. I explained that I didn’t care about the extra money at this point that had already been taken but because I’m traveling with limited funds I couldn’t pay the extra $16. I then started crying because I don’t do confrontation well so told her it was fine and I went to just leave. Ordered via mobile app, waited 15 minutes past the time the order was supposed to be ready to inquire as lots of people were waiting. Employees were talking to each other and ignoring the growing group of people standing there.
Finally went up to ask where my order was and they said they weren't doing mobile orders: "we turned it on but right back off. You need to call them to get a refund." Then went to stand in line to place my order in person. I waited for 10 minutes behind 4 people, and then they told me they were out of cold brew. They made no announcement to anyone that mobile wasn't working, no sign, nothing. Completely complacent employees bordering on rude.
Garbage cans were overflowing, stuff on the floor. Employees went off shift without addressing any of those problems. Just...
Read moreThis place was busy. They were short staffed. However, they communicated that to the entire store and everyone that was in line. Considering just how busy they were I feel they did a great job getting all the drinks and food out. Chrissma was working the bar and she did a fantastic job communicating what was going on, that they were short 3 people. I felt bad for the workers as they were getting yelled at left and right about why their drinks were taking too long, however they still remained calm and smiled while greeting new customers.
