I don't rate lightly, nor do I rate restaurants very often. This was one of if not the worst brunch experience I have ever experienced. First of all, the menu was pitiful and very pricey. The idea of waiting in line to order the food was annoying considering how expensive and limited (at least in my opinion) the menu was.
We had to get our own drinks and silver ware. Water was served in plastic cups (that I had to get myself). My food, the migas eggs, were served on a giant plate and came with nothing; no offering of toast, sliced tomatoes, fruit, etc. Just this little pile of slop in this Giant plate. The eggs were half cold half warm with dry hard parts the way eggs get when you leave them out for a while or as if they were cooked way ahead of time and microwaved. I ordered fresh squeezed orange juice for my three year old who pushed it away. I tasted it and the best way to describe the taste was like sweet plastic wax.
Some of the wait staff were friendly or very rude (Weird). My aunt and cousin were meeting us. They came in through the front and tried to come out to the patio. One of the staff members refused to let them come out and was blocking their way. WHAT?! They were trying to explain that all they were trying to do was go outside to meet family. When the resistance continued, they told the wait staff to get out of their way!!
The fact that the atmosphere was very nice made it all the more aggravating because all of this nonsense completely ruined everything. Even if there were some positive aspects to the restaurant, It was so not worth wasting my Sunday morning. It was just aweful and our whole table agreed. I will never ever go...
Read moreSadly we had the same experience as 10 days ago, last time we put it down to it being a weekend so this time at 14:30 on a Tuesday we head here for a bite to eat, once again we were left 10 mins or so waiting at the "check-in" area when i ask what the issue is they said they were looking for available tables, there were at least 5 clear empty tables outside and plenty inside, eventually i said to her we'll sit anywhere this is ridiculous and they still had an issue with trying to find us the right spot, we put it down to maybe giving seats in areas to share amounts the servers, but that isn't our issue, well it clearly wasn't this because after another 10 mins or so after being sat down we asked the lady waiting on the table behind us if we could order and her response was I'll try and find who's serving you!! NO ONE! Then the concierge lady came with water and said sorry for the delay we are on staff change over , seriously why didn't she take the order then, someone in that place needs to take control rather than being my job is to seat, my job is to check you in - Anyway eventually a nice lady called Kathy came over and said that she would help me as she had seen we'd been waiting, someone finally with a bit of common sense - from there on in it was ok but let me say they are not that slow to bring the bill (cheque) we didn't even have to ask for that, funny that hey! Needless to say although the setting is beautiful and the food is good we will not now return as we have given it 2 tries and neither time their attention to detail and care of customers impressed like a place of that calibre in that area of...
Read moreI have been dining at Tiny's for 4 years. Always had a positive experience. I decided to go for dinner with my 2 and 1 year old for dinner on a Friday night between 5-6pm - a quick dinner before bedtime. The customer experience was horrible. 1. I didn't have the reservation but the host said she can seat me but I have "to be out by 6:15". 2. The waiter seemed like he did not want to serve me, he never checked on my table throughout dinner, I had to grab my own to go boxes, he came can cleaned up my table without saying a word. 3. My fries were burnt. I told the server that I felt my fries were overcooked and they normally don't look so brown. She said the fries always looks like that and basically challenged me on the fries. I just said never mind and she asked me "are you sure you don't want me to do anything?" twice. Now you are asking me when you were disagreeing with my thoughts towards the fries? I just said no and avoided eye contact bc I felt so uncomfortable. I spoke to the manager at the end of my dinner and she apologized and gave us some cookies. What I really wanted to confirmation that the people who served me would get the feedback and summary of my experience. Maybe even a refund bc my dining experience was horrible but I didn't ask or expected that. I will not be returning to Tiny's, at least for not a long time. I was mortified by my experience, especially as I was dining with my two little ones. I'm so disappointed and have shared my experience with family and friends. I'll be sure to share my experience with anyone who mentions...
