Darla's Donuts — Restaurant in West Valley City

Darla's Donuts are the best donuts there are. Our family discovered her homey little donut shop about three years ago, and we simply cannot enjoy any other donuts now because none compare. A donut craving can only be cured by Darla's and when we've eaten a donut from another baker on the days when we were too late to get to Darla's (her shop closes in the early afternoon), we've been disappointed and reminded that once you know something exceptional, it's best to just stick to those standards :) Darla works in her shop and is always genuinely sweet and friendly. All of the other ladies that have served us have been the same. Even at 6:00 am! Donut people are naturally morning people I guess ;) They have fun flavors that you don't see many other places such as a frosted donut with fruity pebbles on top, orange frosted, chocolate frosted with peanuts on top, a frosted donut with cinnamon sugar crumbles on top, maple bars, plenty of fritters, jelly filled, cream filled, everything. The absolute best donut you'll ever have is her sugar donut though! Simple, yes. And divine. We buy Darla's for everyone we know when we need a treat to share. Here is some friendly advice and my observation. You are losing business! Ever since Covid you have had your lobby (walk in service) doors closed. Your drive through is not organized so you have cars waiting in front of your business and to the side of the building in the north parking lot and everyone is trying to figure out "who is next", who was their first? I've had to move my car into a parking stall so someone could get out that was parked already. AND, I dont want to wait in for 20 + minutes while you service just 3 cars in front of me. I've had that experience multiple times. So, if you have three cars in line, I just keep driving. I have also seem others leave after waiting for a period of 10 plus minutes. Customer Experience: I dont want to order off of a picture. There is something about looking at the display of donuts enjoying the smells and picking what see that look good and fresh versus off a picture. If they walk in, they are less likey to walk out impatiently without donuts. Please reconsider your business plan. I often, two times a month swing by to get a few dozen for my team at work. More than half of that time, I just leave. Your donuts are good, I'd give more stars if there was a focus on better...

I'm ashamed to say I've driven by this location for 4 years and just noticed them this morning. I'm a big fan of a good donut, and had to stop in to check the place out.

Let's just say it was so good, I stopped in with a family member a second time, later the same day. Out of the half dozen different donuts I tried, I have to say I was very impressed with everything.

Not only was everything delicious, but the service is great. They were out of a powdered, fruit filled donut that I raved to my family member about. When she expressed a little disappointment in the fact they had sold out, the lady helping us ran to the back and made a very similar donut up for us. Turned out perfect!

Overall, we felt very taken care of there, and their donuts are about the best I've had in the area. Their plain glazed was the best I've had in years. Bummed that it took so long to discover this place, but I'll definitely be back. Highly...
