I was able to finally visit Quickly today because it is located just across the street from Granger High School and I was in the area to get some work done for a club at the University of Utah. It is surrounded by a couple other stores and I almost passed by it, but I saw the quirky lettering and knew that was the shop.
The shop is kind of small on the inside, but there are more than enough tables and seats for people to sit at. At the counter, there are a couple Asian food products you can buy, like Pocky and/or Hi-Chew.
The staff was very nice. I think I met the owners of the shop. They are very kind and friendly people. I got to chat with them for a little bit before I had to rush over to my class.
The price for the boba is unbelievable. I've never had such cheap boba before, it felt pretty good seeing the price. My boba is usually about $6, but at Quickly it was only about $3.50 for the same size (regular size).
The boba came out in under a minute. There was basically no wait at all. The tapioca balls were all soft; none of them were still frozen or hard. Sometimes when I have boba at Tea Bar, some of the tapioca balls are still kind of frozen. The tapioca balls are smaller than what I'm used to, but they give you a lot more, which was a nice surprise. The milk tea itself was kind of bland though. I ordered a Strawberry Milk Tea and I was expecting it to be pretty sweet, but it tasted almost just like regular Milk Tea. It didn't taste bad, but it did not taste like strawberry.
Overall, I would really like to go back to Quickly. The atmosphere of the whole place is really chill. They play K-Pop in the background and I saw a couple people having a great chat. They sell some pretty delicious Asian snacks and it is really tempting not to buy anything. The boba was very cheap and the wait was not long. The tapioca balls were all really soft and the tea was delicious (it just didn't taste like strawberry). I just wish this place was...
Read moreGreat drinks. They are really delicious and do remind me of Taiwan. But the service is terrible. They say ice or blended so that both the drinks sound like smoothies. I said no ice because I didn’t want a cold drink and so they made my drink blended. Which is basically a smoothie. It tasted fine but wasn’t what I wanted. But I had gotten a larger size to share with my husband. So I went up to the person at the front and said they didn’t give me what I originally wanted. It was a misunderstanding can I order another drink. She demanded my original drink back and made the new drink. The girl who originally took my order came over and confronted me. She said “ I said blended or ice and you said blended.” I responded “I said no ice. I didn’t say blended. I said no ice because I didn’t want a cold drink. And I offered to buy a new one due to the misunderstanding” Then they said “no we already made a new one” and handed it to me. Just seemed like a waste since the drink was fine and I was going to just buy another one. And they just threw it away. And their attitude was kind of ridiculous. I was very polite. They had the same problem with communication on smoothie or not on the next order too. They need to separate the difference better for first...
Read moreWe’ve been going to this quickly branch for 6 years now and we live about 30-45 mins away. Tonight we were craving boba and decided to drive here and order drinks to go. There was an Asian girl that took our orders which we ordered supper chubby almond milk tea w/boba and large chocolate milk tea with egg pudding. As soon as she took payment, she flipped the tablet around and the screen was asking for tip, so I clicked “no tip” and as soon as she saw that, her mood changed. There was another employee at the back making drinks for customers and as soon as I took a seat, I noticed her telling the employee at the back to go to the front and tend customers. After about 10 mins, the same girl handed me my drinks in a bag and so we took them and drove home. When we got home, I noticed the chocolate drink was a “small” size and not a “large” size and noticed my drink had powder at the bottom of the drink. Meaning she didn’t really mix the drinks…the taste of both of our drinks weren’t the good…if we didn’t live far from this location, I would have instantly went back...
