Zero star rating! I live in West View and go to West View Plaza regularly. I went here back in April 2020, right when COVID-19 cases were starting to rise but before masks were mandated. The guy ringing me out (pictured now in the white and green shirt) made fun of me for wearing a mask. Then and there I resolved not to shop at Sams again. Time passed on and I thought maybe I shouldn't boycott an entire business due to one, possibly temporary employee. So I went back there today (August 14, 2020) after doing some food shopping, and there's this same guy again (white and green shirt). Not wearing a mask as soon as I walk in the door. Several other customers were in the store as well. I was livid. I watched him ring out other customers without putting a mask on or even the bandana around his neck. I tired to get a picture of him doing so, but I think he saw me and backed out of my view behind a display with a wide grin on his face. I eventually caught him off guard and got the picture attached to this review. (There's another older guy not wearing his mask either). I left without buying anything. I guarantee that this guy (white and green shirt) would have said something to me if I bought something. He obviously has no care or regard for the health and safety of customers, people in general, the law, and clearly gets off on watching other people notice him not wearing a mask. Regardless of his position on the companies totem pole, this place should be shut down as it is clearly a company wide promotion to not wear a mask. Read moreI've been shopping at this beer distributor for some time, haven't had a problem before today. Some employees have been helpful in the past, others made neither a good or bad impression, just processed me as a customer, with no problem. Today, I stopped in, wearing a mask, which is optional, and I choose to do it. Whether it actually helps, I can't say for sure, but I feel it beats doing nothing in the current situation. It's not that big a deal to me. Anyway, today, the salesperson (wearing a Reagan/Bush 1984 shirt) waits on me, didn't seem to have a problem with me at first. After paying for my beer, he glances at a maskless customer that walked through the door, and broadcasts "that's what I like to see, a customer without a mask". Apparently, my wearing a mask offends him. What he doesn't know is that a relative of mine was buried last week, after spending the better part of the past month in an ICU due to COVID. The spouse of this relative is still hospitalized, not sure if recovery will happen. I can't understand how a business that wants to be profitable allows this kind of behavior from it's employees. Read moreI go to this distributor quite frequently and have always had a fair experience at this distributor. Today I went to buy a 30 pack and the worker checking me out started off by harassing me for wearing a mask (due to COVID-19). I tried to explain calmly that it is for the protection of others and not myself-- that I was wearing a mask as a duty as a citizen. He was quite rude. I will never go back to this store. Not that it will be that much of an impact I'm sure, but I drink a 30 pack a week, roughly. Let's do the math. Let's say at $24/pack, one pack every week of the year (52), that's $1,248 of sales/year that they lost. At least. All because they have a worker who harasses people for following proper public...
