We really wanted to enjoy this place, but we didn’t. It’s a great concept, but very poorly executed.
First, I’ll start with the food. Tacos were terrible, soggy, and flavorless. Wings were soggy and flavor was off. The pretzel with beer cheese was the best thing we had which was very good. Chili cheese fries were okay. Chili and cheese were good, but fries weren’t even fully cooked.
Second, they had no waitresses working. I will say the bartender with blonde highlights was very friendly and nice. I wish I could say the same about the bartender with dark hair. She was very rude and snippy. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it really took away from the atmosphere.
Third, we were a party of 4. We met up with some friends there but they all sat up at the bar and we sat at a table of 4 away from everyone. That being said, they automatically added 15% gratuity to our check. This 15% also included axe throwing. I think the throwing and food should be on separate checks. Gratuity added to axe throwing makes no sense!
Also, my dad gave them a card to hold but told them he wanted to pay with cash at the end. Well at the end he asked for his check and they ran his card. I’m not sure if this was an attempt to sneak the 15% gratuity in or not.
The man running the axe throwing said you could throw with open toed shoes. There were no rules or anything on the website saying otherwise. The bartender nastily stated that we couldn’t. They need to get on the same page!
Very bad taste in our mouth. If you do go, eat elsewhere and then come just for the axe throwing experience. Personally, I would travel the 45 minutes distance to another axe throwing spot. They need to fix out a lot of kinks before I would ever...
Read moreDo not go here!! This is a shame because I loved coming here. However, they have truly turned me and my friends away for their actions. I order crown apple and sprites for my go to drink. Last night, my drinks tasted sour and disgusting. On my third drink I watched the bartender, who is also the owner, make my drink with half regular crown and half apple pucker liqueur. I asked if she has been making my drinks like that this whole time and if I was paying full price for crown apple which she replied yes to. I told her how I was upset that I was not informed of them being out before handing me the drinks and how I was paying for something I did not order. She replied rudely that it was the same thing and if anything she should be charging me extra for the regular crown + the apple pucker. Like she was doing me a favor or something? I told her how she was basically watering down my drinks and if I could get a full shot of regular crown to make up for the half ones she had been pouring me or drinks taken off my tab which she just laughed in my face. This is not the first time that I have had terrible service there. They have tricked me and many other patrons into paying full price for something that was not full price quality and to top it all of they charged me for the sprite that was in my mixed drink! What kind of bar does that?? I paid $7 a drink for the "crown apple" plus $3.95 for the sprite that was in my drink. Absolutely ridiculous! Me and my friends will never...
Read moreUPDATE: so I had to come back and update my review from the first time I visited BT. I have to say I was completely wrong on my first review BT is definitely a good spot to go to just hangout in the weekend or even the week day BaT has undoubtedly become my go to spot when I want to unwind and I have made a monthly appt with friends for the Sunday Karaoke night. And the food does not disappoint their head chef is a master with the delicacies. Kelsey and Haley make sure the drinks are made to perfection I was going to delete my first review but I wanted to leave it up to show that sometimes it's good not to judge a place by the first impression because you could really miss out on a gem To he honest I read the reviews before I went so my expectations were not that high to begin with. The atmosphere was good for a private setting but I do not believe it would be a place I would go to for a night out. The food was delicious. I would say though if you get the pretzel to go request that it be made like the order in pretzel because the pretzel I had to go was nothing like the one I had there. Never been to an axe throwing themed place so I don't have anything to compare it to so I would say for the most part it was OK the "bartenders" were decent i meant to ask which one owned the place when I was there but if I had to guess based on attitude then I already knew who was the owner. All in all my friends and the food are what made the...
