Captain D's — Restaurant in West Virginia

Upon arriving at the restaurant, which I thought was closed due to all the lights outside being off, I was promptly greeted at the speaker. And that's where all the promptness ended. 27 minutes in a Drive-Thru with only me sitting in it. Food, extremely burnt and substandard, coleslaw all over Inside the Box on top of the okra, fried crabs which were still frozen in the middle and yet somehow almost burnt on the outside, macaroni and cheese that honestly taste like something a cafeteria would have made at school. Overcooked shrimp undercooked Hush Puppies overcooked okra burnt spicy fish, sounds like a great way to end a 14-hour shift at work. You will not be seeing my money again, and I really hope that the owner sees this and reaches out to me. I did a delivery with Uber Eats. Not a problem with Uber but the restaurant wasn't so great. They've went down hill from the last time I've ate there. Just wasn't satisfied and I asked for utensils which I never got. It was like they hurried to make it and was really disappointed. The sweet and sour sauce tasted so off from what it should, like it must have been old or something cause made me and my husband sick to our stomachs. I won't be ordering from them again.

Edit ... I sent a email to the bosses and got a reply. I received an apology and 2 meals with beverage and dessert on him if I'll give Captain D's another shot. My husband said no thanks but I'm gonna give it another shot. They could have just had a bad day, so we'll see when I go back. Once I do, I'll give another review...

Have worked in and managed food service for years, took a part time job there for a while to bolster my income and worked for an excellent manager that knew his business and customers well. Can't say much for the majority of the crew though. With the previous manager gone and the desparate excuse for a replacement it has predictably circled the drain. My family and extended family take the long way round and visit other more Silver lovations now. With first hand knowledge of how LAZY the current leadership is and good working knowledge of how disgusting a food service location with lazy leadership gets.... no brainer. Avoid this place at what ever fuel cost necessary. Zero...
