Cook Out — Restaurant in Cross Lanes

So I have held my tongue hoping it would work out. It did not. I usually go get the same thing every week and every week I am super disappointed because I get a tray and my sides are always cheese curds and onion rings. I always only get like 4 very small onion rings and like 6-8 cheese curds. Tonight I order and ask about that and they say the trays come with less than regular sides. (Why they say they are sides instead of 1/2 sides I will never know I guess) So i try to order and get the sides separate to be told I have to order each quesadilla individually and then get the sides and drink. Fine but the girl was so condescending when explaining this. I go in and talk to manager who instead of assuring me he will educate drive thru worker, acts non chalant and says, well I can give you more onion rings, and tried to cover dor drive thru worker saying she didn't understand what I wanted, then why is she working drive thru if she can't understand item A, then b&c separate, I have no clue. Whatever. So I wasn't going to post this till I got home and I got my food out, a FULL SIZE SIDE of cheese curds.....9. so I guess no matter what you pay you will never get a full sized side and when you say something the drive thru worker is rude and the manager acts he don't care. I'll start by saying the one in WV where I live is great. The one in Myrtle Beach was horrible. Starting with the guy not wearing his headset right and each of us having issues hearing the other. When he fixed that we placed our order. Pulled up and I watched them make only part of the drinks. I let him know. Then he handed me the food, and several (4+) items were missing. I let him know exactly what was missing. He told me I didn't order them and had to charge me again. I checked receipts and not only had I ordered it but as charged for it too. I tried telling him multiple times what was wrong but he acted like he couldn't understand me (he is American btw). I'm pretty sure he was high. I gave up. Long story short I paid over $50 for about $30 worth of food, and he STILL screwed up the order and we had to go to Taco Bell next door where they were super polite and even gave us straws for the drinks we got at Cook Out as they didn't give us any. My food was great, the portion was adequate, and even if the service was a little slow, my food was hot and fresh. I was pretty tired when I went through the drive through, my service at the window was fast food service, it wasn't my mom cutting my birthday cake, but it wasn't sass or attitude, unfortunately some expect the red carpet from people who are doing their job instead of making them feel special, it's fast food, I got hot fast food, decently fast without anyone rolling their eyes at me or feeling like I was a hassle on an already decently paced high highs and low lows job.

Fast food workers are not your baby sitters, they're going to make mistakes, they're in high a repetition position, and just because they're not busy when you're there doesn't mean they've been dead all day.
