Pearlās Parkview CafĆ© is a charming little spot in Clarksburg, West Virginia, offering a mix of ice cream, coffee, and quick eats. The cafĆ© sits just along the West Fork River, across from the VA Park, which adds to the relaxing, small-town feel.
šŖ Atmosphere ā 4/5
The interior is small but very clean and welcoming. There are a few tables inside, with additional seating outside near the entrance, as well as across the lot where youāll find picnic tables and a small pavilion ā perfect for enjoying your treat by the river. The dĆ©cor is cheerful and patriotic, with fun signs and a friendly vibe. It definitely feels like a local favorite.
š Service ā 4/5
The staff greeted me with a smile and were friendly throughout. Unfortunately, what I originally wanted wasnāt available because they were cleaning the ice cream machine during lunch hours. A bit inconvenient, but I understand maintenance has to be done sometime. They handled it well, and I adjusted my order with no issue.
š¦ Food ā 4/5
Since options were limited, I went with a chocolate shake ā and it ended up being a great choice. Creamy, rich, and full of flavor. Iām not usually a chocolate shake fan, but this one surprised me. They also have a solid variety of food options, including pizza, pepperoni rolls, hot dogs, and snacks like tater tots and nachos. I didnāt get to try the hot food this visit, but I definitely plan to come back for it.
š§ Bonus Points
Pearlās offers an impressive selection of gourmet cheesecakes and frozen take-home items. The display coolers are well-stocked, and the prices are reasonable. This place would be a great pit stop whether youāre craving coffee, dessert, or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time trying pearls based off a Google review someone had left in the area. I really wanted to like this place. But not what I expected. I ordered the big dog as that's what the picture looked like in the review, however my food looked nothing like the picture. The chilli looked like a meat sauce with no flavor, the hot dog was big but the bun was even bigger, maybe they ran out of regular buns. All that bread made it very dry and the meat sauce looked like one small spoon trailed down the side. It definitely left something to be desired. Nit even mustard helped. The dog was only $4 but my daughter ordered the Philly cheese for $9 and it wasn't worth it, no flavor and too much bread. A large beverage was 2.50, a 24 oz cup full of ice and filled not even to the top. I see more ice cream reviews than food and I now know why. The lady in charge said the staff was new, well leadership reflects attitude. Train your employees on the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I came in tonight for some ice cream. We were disappointed. We waited at the counter for a few minutes and no one said hello or anything. This is a no frills place with about 6 or so seats. I finally said hello and then the girl came to greet us. She was nice to let me try their flavor of the season which is a dole pineapple whip. It was ok. My dad got a banana split, it was the first ever I've seen without a banana. Weird. I got a cheesecake. I thought it was a little over priced at $7. I had to ask for a fork to eat the cheesecake, they didnāt just hand it over like I would have expected. The lady handed it to me but failed to mention that the cases in the front are freezers. I wasn't able to eat with my dad. I cut into it to try it, it wasn't very good. No one said bye or thanks for coming in or anything when we left. We won't be back. Bad boring grub....
