Waffle House — Restaurant in West Virginia

Waffle House in Huntington WV on Rt. 60, you disappoint me ! The ( whom I guess was a manager) is a rude man, someone like that obviously has no people skills and needs not be in that position. I came in by myself to eat before a day of errands and I felt accosted right away, I was trying to order the " All Star special " ( something I have ordered for years at many different locations in states as far as 6 hours away and I always do the same, ask to replace the meat ( pork ) with chicken of which they are happy to do ( I don't eat pork) . But today the waitress was short with me, wanted me to order within seconds of setting down, when I mentioned the chicken the " manager " came right over, butted in and loudly and strongly said we don't do that and tell me who did and I'll fire them. I felt very uncomfortable, so I left without finishing my order. I told him when I left he needed to watch what he said, it was offensive and without even turning to look at me said whatever, have a nice day ( like I didn't matter in the least ) and he didn't care I was leaving. I won't be back to this location, customers don't like to dish out there money when being treated like dirt, they come for a nice experience and enjoyable meal. Some people actually do NOT eat pork, making accommodations for customers is good customer service. If I were a critic this location would not get my good ratings, I have owned my own restaurant and I would never treat a customer anything less than worthy of the food they were trying to order, if they don't feel comfortable, they aren't...

Very very disappointed. We chose an empty table which was the only empty one on that side of the restaurant. It needed wiped off. But then we noticed there was some trash under the table such as napkins and straws so we looked over at the waitresses but no one offered to clean it. They all continued to watch as my daughter got a napkin and tried to clean the table. We then decided to go over to the other side of the restaurant where there were a couple of other empty tables. It was very noisy. We asked if the music could be turned down and our waitress said yes but she never did turn it down. In fact it seemed to me to be louder. I know that the waitresses yell out the orders there but one waitress made sure she was always standing by our table when she yelled out her orders and they were very loud just talking to each other. My daughter's waffles were very overdone but the waitress served them anyway. She tried to eat them but couldn't. Also I ordered a steak. In the picture on the menu the steak looks about half an inch thick but it was only an eighth of an inch. Unbelievable! I dont understand what has happened here. I should start this off by saying we have been to numerous restaurants and this was by far the worst experience possible. We went today around 11:30 with two friends that had been out of town and we had not seen for a while. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese bowl with over medium eggs. The eggs were hard. My boyfriend ordered chocolate chip waffles and they were extremely tough. Our friends and us did not receive even a single refill our whole meal. As soon as we got the food, our server gave us the tab. I wanted to add something additional on and she said, “Oh great, I guess I’ll add it on another tab then.” She did not even bring my friend’s boyfriend his drink the entirety of our meal. We reminded her twice. She had said earlier on she would go grab it and dropped silverware on accident. She let out a loud sigh and said, “Guess I will have to get another one, too.” She seemed very unhappy having to be there for the day and it showed. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and none of us will be going to Waffle House again. Also, her name on the name...
