Damien Moore did a good job working and he is a healthy man with a good smile and he has beautiful eyes Damien had always believed love was something that happened to other people.
At 28, he was a quiet, creative soul working as a graphic designer in a sleepy coastal town called Merrow Bay. His days were spent sketching logos, editing ad campaigns, and wandering down to the shoreline with a sketchbook under one arm. Life was simple, predictable, and... safe. Maybe a little too safe.
He’d had a few flings in his early twenties, but nothing that ever rooted itself in his heart. Love, he thought, was an ocean he liked to look at but never dared to swim in.
Then came the storm—and her name was Clara.
They met at a local coffee shop during a freak summer rainstorm, both caught without umbrellas, both dripping wet and laughing about the weather. She had wild, curly hair tucked under a painter’s cap and paint smudges on her jeans. An art teacher at the local community center, Clara was as unpredictable as the waves and twice as alive.
Damien offered her the last dry seat near the window. She offered him her sketchbook.
What started as polite conversation turned into hours of shared dreams, doodles on napkins, and inside jokes. She teased him for his minimalism. He poked fun at her chaos. They were opposites in every way—he, a calm, tidy mind; she, a whirlwind of color and mess—but somehow, they clicked.
Days turned into weeks. She’d drag him to outdoor markets, paint splattered on her arms, pulling him through crowds he’d usually avoid. He’d invite her to his quiet apartment and show her the city from his rooftop, pointing out stars she never took the time to notice.
For the first time, Damien found himself feeling… undeniably seen.
One evening in late autumn, as the sea breeze cooled and golden leaves scattered the streets, Damien brought Clara to a secret spot by the cliffs. He had drawn something for her—a single page filled with sketches of the moments they’d shared: her smile on their first coffee date, her hand reaching out to him at the pier, her laughter echoing in his kitchen.
She stared at the drawing for a long moment. Then she kissed him, soft and slow.
“I think,” she whispered, “you were always meant...

My husband, our team, and I were in town on business and staying locally when we kept hearing the same recommendation from different locals: “You have to try Luigi’s!” So we did—and we’re so glad we listened.
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated right away at a table that perfectly fit our group—no adjustments needed, which was a relief after a long day. Our drinks came out quickly, and although the cheesy bread took a few extra minutes, it was more than worth the wait. It came out piping hot, fresh from the oven, and honestly could’ve been a meal all on its own. I didn’t even want to share it—but we all did, and every single person at the table agreed it was some of the best cheesy bread we’ve ever had. The house marinara was flavorful and well-seasoned, and we also got a side of ranch that was just as delicious.
We ordered two 14” pizzas—one Hawaiian with chicken and pineapple, and one meat lovers with added chicken. Both were absolute hits! The pizzas came out quickly, just as we ordered, and we especially appreciated that they honored our request to have them cooked “blonde.” They nailed it.
The staff continued to check in with us throughout the meal, making sure we had everything we needed and that everything met our expectations—which it absolutely did. We also noticed how many other diners were clearly regulars or locals, and everyone seemed just as satisfied as we were.
Luigi’s has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and delivers high-quality food with attention to detail and great service. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Huntington, and we’ll be recommending it to anyone else headed that way. Don’t skip the cheesy bread! (we visited the...
