Wendy's — Restaurant in West Virginia

This was the cleanest Wendy’s if not restaurant that I have ever been to. The floor wasn’t slippery and dirty, the bathrooms looked like they were brand new, the tables weren’t sticky, and the condiments bar was speaking clean!!! I tried the limited time pineapple frosty, and while watching them making it, I noticed it’s not actually a different ice cream. They simply squirt “pineapple flavor” into a cup and then added vanilla ice cream in layers with the pineapple flavoring. Once I stirred it up it was actually really good. I liked having a hint of pineapple better than when I got to the bottom of the cup and it was a lot thicker, but I didn’t stir that...

It’s a Wendy’s. The food isn’t all bad; basically what you expect from a consistent Wendy’s establishments. The service could be a bit friendlier. Several times we have got the standard “Can I take your order?” or “How can I help you?” in a tone that screams “I hate my job and would rather be watching paint dry or grass grow.” This isn’t all the time but often enough you get surprised when someone friendly takes care of your order. The food was good.the wait staff needs more training and a 40hr. Class on people skills...is there no such thing as " mystery shoppers " any more? Back in the day I spent 20+ years in fast food mangnment..we had mystery shoppers all the time, I only failed 1 mystery shop my whole career. If I am going to spend 20.00$ on burgers and fries I at least want what I order, fresh..and the young person robbing me of my money at least smile and act like they are glad to have the job....not being punished...
