Aljon's has been my go-to at lunch for pizza. Has been for probably a decade or so. It is not the closest pizzeria to my office, but they are worth the extra travel. A few weeks back I was looking at the menu (as opposed to just looking at the slices behind the counter) and saw hamburgers. I asked "Who comes here for a hamburger? How many of these do you sell in a week?", and was told "more than you would think". Last week, I ordered one. A VERY good burger. Not surprised, as I have never had a bad slice there, but impressed.
Pizza is outstanding. Tasty, fresh, and a great variety of slices at lunchtime. I have done cheesesteaks, meatball parm sandwiches, and basically everything else you would expect from a pizza place, all great. And now I know they serve a great burger as well.
Great food, family owned. Owners are always there, and very...
Read moreSearching for a salivating slice, I stumbled upon this stupendous eatery. It was a good sign that 1:30pm on a weekday still showed a constant flow of patronage, and better that the slice options were still extensive so late after lunch hour. Every slice I ordered was heavenly. Packed with flavor, and plenty of sauce. The tomato pie was my favorite, so elegant and authentic! Who needs cheese when the flavor and ingredients speak loudly? If you still need some cheese, just try the "special sauce" slice I think it was called. The service was incredible as well; each staff member busy at work, yet kind while serving the counter. There were plenty of table outside, and it's covered, so even in a light rain you can enjoy your slice before you leave. I didn't try any of the sides, but the menu was extensive and I'm eager to return and...
Read morePlease Stay Away from Aljons . My family and i were in town visiting my in laws who happen to live in the area and we went here for pickup during dinner time . We Ordered Ziti with vodka sauce Caesar salad and a Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak sub . I have to say the Ziti Was Cold as if it had just come out of the freezer and onto my dinner table the quality of sauce was also very below average and lacked flavor . Moving on to the Caesar salad we found pieces of hair in the salad when my wife took her first bite in . And the Peppers and Onions on the Cheesesteak Sub had also tasted stale . Overall my Family's Experience at the West Windsor Aljons was pretty negative due to the quality of the items that were served to us . We are hoping that the quality improves the next...
