I do like this store and hope it stays put, and I hope the manager reads these reviews since there is no information on how to give feedback to her directly. I went to the JCP in Westerly, RI on a Thursday around 3 p.m. (to avoid weekend crowds) to pick up an online order and had to stand in line with everyone else making a purchase. However, there was a little side cashier with no line that was only available to streamline purchases of those who were using a JCP Credit Card. I think the manager should know that there were many people in quite a long line grumbling about having to stand in line for items that were already paid for, while a chosen few using a JCP card got special treatment. It took me 15 minutes to just pick up my purchase. I have JCP items sent to the store to save on shipping costs, and when I go to pick up my purchase I, like I'm sure many others do, wonder around and may make an additional purchase. So, I don't think JCP should discourage customers from picking up online purchases in the store, yet this is exactly what they are doing. At one time there was a designated area and/or person who would quickly get your online purchase; this store is likely to lose customers like me if they continue this poor customer service model of forcing customers to stand in line with those who need to complete a purchase, open a charge card, etc.. I understand that brick & mortars are having a hard time surviving, but allowing customer service to erode (e.g., closing registers, herding customers, etc.) is not the answer. Next time I order online I'll probably pay to have the item sent to my home, then JCP will have one less person entering the store and lose one more...

Three months of barely wore through the tread grooves and holes came through the heal. Walking in to the store I showed customer service and her response was they don't make them like they used to. I walked away disgusted with the lack of customer service. Most of the shoes there are hollow soled shoes and of the few selection that are there with actual solid soles the re where 2 or 3 sizes to choose from. Another associated asked if I needed any help. I asked if this was all they had in stock to which she replied yes but we can order on line and get them shipped. Which I said " So can I". Lots of compliments on my hair and it was perfect as there was a breeze at the Saltwater vineyard Farms coming off the water. Thank you to all the staff, getting me coffee, directions and listening to my nervousness! Excellent staff! Highly recommend them all!
Then they recommended I visit the makeup people so they could do my eyes or my face. They did my entire makeup and good thing because I was making some mistakes!
