This might be my new favorite restaurant. I LOVE chicken salad, so I was very excited to hear about this place and their variety. The amount of options can be overwhelming at first but the menu has the flavors divided into different sections so it's easy to narrow down your decision. I was also glad to see that I was able to switch out a side for another scoop of chicken salad, and even add a third one if I wanted to (for a couple dollars more)! I ended up getting the Fruity Fran on a croissant with a Sassy Scotty scoop on the side, plus a side of grape salad. The Sassy Scotty was so amazing—I plan to get it again next time, and I fully recommend it to any ranch lovers. The Fruity Fran was also good—I thought the inclusion of pineapple was interesting and that's what drew me to it in the first place. I would get it again as it had a lot of good flavors. Another thing I like about the chicken salads is how the chicken is shredded, making for a nice smooth salad. I've never had a grape salad before but this was so delicious. It was nice and sweet, and the flavors complimented each other nicely.
My only complaint is that I wish the app was easier to use. When placing an order, it sends you to a browser so there doesn't seem to be a way to track your order in the app. This way of ordering also didn't show us the soup of the day (we went on a Monday so I thought it was broccoli cheese) and only gave the options of loaded potato and poblano chicken (both saying "available every day"). Also, when ordering a sandwich, it gives bread options of croissant, white (untoasted), and wheatberry (untoasted). There doesn't seem to be an option to have your bread toasted when ordering online, which can be confusing because in the pictures for some of the sandwiches, the bread is toasted. These are really small issues and can be avoided by ordering in person, so it's not too big of a deal.
With that said, this restaurant had amazing food. I can't stop thinking about how good it was, and I can't wait to go back again and try more of their salads! I would definitely...
Read moreWe ordered Chicken Salad Chick for our daughter's Ohio State graduation party and picked it up on Saturday afternoon. We had a party of 20 people and I ordered two Mini Croissant Sandwich Platters (each feeds 10-12 people), 3 orders of the broccoli salad (each feeds 10-12 people) and 3 orders of the pasta salad (each feeds 10-12 people). Since the party was not until Sunday afternoon, the person I spoke with on the phone suggested we get the chicken salad croissants "deconstructed" so the croissants wouldn't get soggy. I wanted to provide the positives and constructive aspects of our overall experience.
Positive: The chicken salad itself was awesome! We ordered Fancy Nancy, Classic Carol and Sassy Scotty and all three were delicious.
Constructives: -- The actual amount of food in each salad container was enough to serve about 4-6 people max. The containers were so small, so be sure to order more than what the description suggests. -- Since the sandwiches came deconstructed, we received 1 little container of each type of chicken salad for the 36 mini croissants. The containers are TINY, so there was not enough chicken salad to actually make all 36 mini croissants. -- When I spoke with the representative on the phone, I think she told me there would be lettuce and tomato on the croissants and would be included in the deconstruction. I may be wrong about this! -- The croissants were stale and dry. Some were actually hard. It seems like they had been frozen at some point.
Overall, I spent about an hour and a half on Sunday morning driving to three grocery stores to buy more chicken salad to make the rest of the croissant sandwiches. And, I had to purchase broccoli salad to "mix in" with the broccoli salad provided so I would have enough. Since it was Mother's Day, there was very little "salad" food available and we ended up also ordering Raising Cane's at the very last minute.
I don't think we would order again from Chicken Salad Chick because of the issues we experienced. But, again, the chicken...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Chicken Salad Chick in Columbus, Ohio, and let me tell you, it was a real treat! The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm smiles and a level of hospitality that made me feel like a Southern belle. The staff was absolutely clucking adorable! Now, let's talk about the food. I found myself in a chicken salad conundrum: the broccoli salad was calling my name, but the pasta salad was whispering sweet nothings in my ear. Unable to play favorites, I bravely ordered both. And boy, am I glad I did! Both sides were fresh, flavorful, and a perfect complement to my main course. Speaking of the main course, the Olivia's Old South Chicken Salad Sandwich was an absolute showstopper! It was like a symphony of flavors in my mouth. The chicken salad was creamy and dreamy, and the bread was the perfect vessel for this chickeny delight. I'm still dreaming about it! The prices were surprisingly affordable, making it easy to indulge in multiple menu items without breaking the bank. Plus, the service was incredibly fast, which is always a win in my book. If you're looking for a place to scratch that chicken salad itch, Chicken Salad Chick is the place to be. It's a must-try for any chicken salad...
