I decided to eat lunch with a family member at Freddy's. I had never been, but it sounded good. We arrived at lunchtime and the dining room was sparsely occupied. I ordered a California-style double steak burger and fries and my family member had a double cheeseburger with onion rings. We noted, while ordering, that an open tub of some sort of chocolate concoction was on the order counter next to the register. It sat open while we ate, with someone occasionally stirring it. It eventually disappeared. Not sure where it went or why it had to be wide open on the order counter. Just seemed odd as that probably wasn't the most sanitary place to leave an open container of food. The hamburger was pretty good, but unnecessarily greasy - I mean running down your arm greasy, which loses some points with me. Good food does not have to be greasy. I did like the strongly flavored onions they use, though. Most places use something too mild, in my opinion. The fries were pretty standard and I think I'd probably opt for the onion rings next time. The spicy fry sauce was pretty good too. It wasn't really spicy, but was a change of pace from plain ketchup. Overall, lunch was okay. For the price and cuisine, I still think I prefer something like Five Guys over this. This place reminds me a lot of Steak 'n Shake, but hopefully it won't end up as bankrupt. I may return if someone suggests it, but I'm not sure there's anything specific that would draw me to this...

Not impressed... touted as one of the best in the midwest. Too loud in the dinning room. You order at a counter like any fast food restaurant, but could not hear the young lady taking the order. I ordered the double stake burger. My son got the bacon cheese burger. Both were rather greasy as expected in a fast food place. Way too much mustard, pieces of beef were very tender, other pieces over cook, and some were down right hard. Being from New Jersey, the extra mustard was not normal for me, I'm sure it was normal for a local. Also, being from New Jersey the cut up beef was not normal for me, but probably normal for a local resident. Staff was helpful and friendly, restaurant was clean and tidy. We did not have any of the frozen custard this establishment was also highly rated on. Neither my son nor I were in the mood for it. Although looking at what other customers were eating, the custard looked good. Glad I...

My family and I have visited this location multiple times, normally through the drive-thru, and always have a positive experience with the food. But we dined in on Sunday, and I'm sorry to have to leave this review that I felt the restaurant was rather dirty. The dining area didn't feel that much dirtier than your average fast food restaurant after a busy afternoon. But what made it stick out was the rough quality of the walls and trim around the drink station, and more than anything, the visible dirt marks on the bathroom door. I say this respectfully and constructively, the appearance of the door would have been typical of a local dive bar, not a place that primarily serves food. But stuff like that is important to me because that type of attention to cleanliness (or lack of) I feel reflects on management's standards as it relates to food...

Staff was friendly, both front and back of house was clean. Burgers were tasty smash style. The fried pickles were delicious. The chicken tenders were also well received. I didn't try the Freddy sauce, but Jalapeno version was tasty, not too spicy though. The food come out blazing fast, especially considering every table was full. We basically had time to get our drinks and sit down and then the food was up. We preferred the sundae over the mixer, I think it was too mixed for us. The price was reasonable, 23$ for two combos, upgrades and a sundae and mixer. We'll definitely add this to our list of quick stops to grab a bite.

Freddy’s is always staffed with friendly and accommodating people. The wait to receive your food is just about the right time to pick your table, fill your drinks, and grab a cup or two of Freddy’s fry sauce. The burger served here is a fantastic example of a good lace edge. They are reasonably sized, very flavorful, and possibly the most important is how fresh all of the ingredients tasted. This is the second time visiting Freddy’s and I opted to try their white cheddar cheese curds. That was probably the best decision of the meal.

Solid steakburger, fry and ice cream shop. A cross between Steak N Shake and Culvers with prices on most combo meals in the $7-$9 range so pricey for a larger family. Be sure to try their special Freddys fry sauce, original and jalapeno. My first time ever here and I enjoyed it. Steak burgers are old school and pressed super thin, with slight crisp to them. They also have a neat inside/outside patio seating area that is heated in the colder months and garage type doors open in the summer. Worth a trip!
