Fortunately, there are other OTF options for people in the Carmel area.
I'm a member of Orange Theory and came here as a guest from out of state when I was visiting family. The work out the first day I came in was fine. Unfortunately, the second day was a huge disappointment.
With the small class size and many available pieces of equipment, I got on an open treadmill for extra miles as I prepared for an upcoming race.
The male coach came over to me, never having introduced himself and having no relationship with me. Loudly, in front of the entire class, he demanded, "What are you doing?"
When I smiled him told him I was getting a few extra miles in, he again loudly noted, "We don't do that here."
He was aggressive and made the work out extremely uncomfortable. It was a very unpleasant experience. He showed poor self-control and a lack of reasonable communication skills.
Fortunately for people considering OTF, there are numerous options for you in the Carmel area. For example, I had a great experience at OTF BROAD RIPPLE just a day later!
It's great to have options, and I would NOT recommend...
Read moreI started coming to orange theory here a few months ago and it has completely changed my perspective on exercising. I’ve always been active, but have struggles to push myself with my workouts because of low motivation. This orange theory studio has the best coaches. They try to get to know everyone and always make you feel motivated and push you to do the best you can on a given day (without pushing you too hard). They also are extremely accommodating and knowledgeable as far as alternative exercises for those with limitations and they’re always aware of those with cardiac conditions. The staff are also extremely welcoming and try to get to know everyone. They remember the small things and always follow up on them. I love it here and wish I could bring all the coaches and staff with me when I move away in the next few months. They made me feel welcome when I’d never worked out in a big group before and the transition to group fitness classes was seamless. It’s an incredibly welcoming space and I’d recommend to anyone at any level of fitness. Thanks...
Read moreIn my first class, I really enjoyed the coach Sidney, she was friendly and good. However, in my second day, I had a bad experience with the manager (Gilliane). I arrived 6min later for the class because it was snowning and I could not find a spot to park close to the gym and she did not allow me to take the class. The point was not that, but her approach, she was impolite and did not show any kind of empathy. I'm from Brazil and moved to the US in less than 1 month and I'm still struggling with some things. Also, I mentioned all of those things to her and requested an exception because based on the policy, you're not allowed to take classes after 5min of the start time. But, from a customer experience point of view, I expect that a manager could deal with those situations and unforenseen, not simply telling me that I accepted the policy. I really liked the concept of the gym, but in the end of day, what matters is how people treat you. So, I just cancelled the plan on...
