Hollywood Feed — Local services in Westfield

Love the selection of healthier options. First time walking in here, and I'm thrilled. Will be back. I've been looking for a new pet store to be loyal to, and give my dog a bath. This may just be it. Update: Have now come here several times. I really like the convenience of the self-dogwash station. I love the fact that the tubs are separated by a half wall, with no risk of two dogs getting loose together. My one and only complaint....... and this may seem small, but after several times being here to wash (and if you have a long-haired, dual coat, dog), it's not so small.

The hoses are too short. And they didn't use to be, this seams to be new.

They only allow you to spray water down on top of your dog. And if you have a long-haired dog, like an Aussie or golden retriever, their hair is waterproof, and their undercoat will not get wet. (Also, I can't rinse the under belly at all). The only way to really soak a dog, under belly, and under coat. Is to spray from down to up angle. So, with this being said. Unfortunately, grooming my dog had been very difficult, and his fur keeps matting up after a bath because I'm not able to get deep enough. It also takes me twice as long, with additional several hours of brushing even well after getting home after a bath.

Store was so much better when it was Pet People. Corporate couldn’t be more clear they don’t give a damn about cats and cat owners, which is a shame because they are a higher end store and could carry the better quality/more expensive toys, treats and cat castles. The cat food selection is ok and that just about all the is for cats worth stopping in to buy. Pet Supplies Plus has more things for cats as does Petco and Petsmart. I hate shopping here and giving them my money when they don’t care about providing what my cats need/want, and yes, I’ve contacted corporate multiple times only to be told that more people own dogs and basically tough nuts . This is the very last place I stop if I’m desperate for one flavor of cat food my furries want and it’s out other places. If you have cats and dogs or just cats go someplace that honors diversity and avoid “Hollywood Dogs”. Maybe this way corporate will finally decide cats and cat owners merit some...

I went to Hollywood Feed looking for the “next step” nutrition and food for my 1yo golden. On this trip, I brought my pup with me. She has had minimal socialization with other people or dogs so I was praying for an easy trip. It was great. All staff greeted us and assured me that Riley was most welcome. After explaining the reason for my visit, I followed one of the ladies working down to the food aisle where she explained which foods were likely similar to what Riley was already eating and talked about the benefits of each one. After selecting our new food, the employee carried the bag to the front of the store and ultimately to my car for me! (She definitely saw my struggles with the pup, and her assistance was most welcome!). They really know their stuff here and are clearly all animal lovers. Will continue to shop here - with and without my dog! Super helpful...
